Viewliner II Baggage

Unread postby Ragno » Mon Feb 15, 2021 1:43 pm

Hello everyone, and good afternoon, before all, I want to say that I am new to these forums, and I am sorry for any possible grammar typo, as English is not my first language; anyways let's talk about this!
So last December I started this project as I wanted some better Amtrak baggages in game, and honestly wasn't expecting to bring it to this point, now, I need to say that I never saw these in person and that all the modelling work was based in the pictures that I found on google. :D
I need to say that this is not my main project, although I am working on both in these days; also, I am open to any feedback as I believe that nearly everyone here is more familiar with Viewliners than me.

These are impressive. You are definitely giving it attention to detail if you are modeling the inside of the car. Most creators only create the exterior and leave it as an empty box, unless it is a passenger car that you can see the seats through the windows and use passenger view mode.

thank you, to be fair I wasn't even planning to do interiors until someone managed to change my opinion. On a side note, these has got more more interiors done than my other passenger cars (nothing of american) for now, at least.

I was thinking about it, and I know how to do it, but I am not going to do it, at least for now, I my opinion is slightly pointless on a baggage.

There are tutorials on the RWA web site that you may find useful for cab cameras.

Manually editing an object's position

Also I've published some passenger views in the RWA file library that you can use as example.

If you are going to do this beautiful interior it would be neat to be able to cycle through passenger views and see the interior of the baggage car.

Hello everyone, I spent my last few days on reimporting the baggage in game, that is how is going so far; need to be fair, I got crazy to get couplers to work decently **!!bang!!** but now are acceptable (except for wrong coupler model... but... *!rolleyes!* ) anyways, got trucks to have the right orientation and so far is okay, except for few issues with views wich I will fix once model is done.

the blue color is just a test texture, the lack of shadows is temporary and the model is still unfinished.
any tip and feedback is accepted.

P.S.
before I forget, wheels bearing do roll (that is how these things are call? right?)
does this works?
