Flatcars

FIRST OF ALL:
I have no idea where these Chinese cars came from, so if someone can tell me if they are free or not I'll be able to upload these to RWA.
The default folder path is Assets\CHINA\RWSO

Edit: The original chinese pack is available at this link. It is an old website but it seems to still work.

While going through my assets, I found a giant folder full of Chinese rollingstock. I noticed a lot look somewhat American, so I started repainting and adding child objects.

For this one, I went online and found a free transformer STL download and imported it into the game. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to release this without permission first.

Did some more today, a few coil car variants. They aren't totally prototypical because I had to use some of the flatcars from this Chinese pack, but it's pretty close.

Are there any tutorials that you know of showing in a basic (very basic) way to recreate loads for flatcars. I'd like to create odd loads like 20' containers on a flat, on spline car.

I haven't looked for a tutorial, so I'm not sure. Most of what I do is trial and error, screwing around with settings and various files until I figure out something that works. I somewhat understand how loads work, but not enough to be able to explain it to someone. I wouldn't know how to put a load on a car that doesn't previously use loads either. At that point, I would make it a child object instead. I could try to walk you through it, but I wouldn't count on my way being the 'right' way

As for these cars, I've been working on an NS protector coil car and some more load models for the flatbeds. Sorry I'm moving very slowly with these. I sent some of the coil cars last week to be uploaded at RWA.
Here's where everything stands:

Those look great and they definitely fill a much-needed void in US rolling stock.

I'm editing this comment from what it previously said - check the library in the coming week or so for these cars:

I don’t have any loads modeled aside from one for all the flatbeds, but any of the coil cars I show are done. Send me a PM for what you want downloaded and I’ll send you the download.

Who did you send them to? Give me the link and if there is nothing wrong with the pack I'll see that it's put in the library.

As I had problems to download the UKTS package from trainsimdev I found
https://www.treinpunt.nl/forum/download ... s;lid=4759
as an alternative.
