Buffalo and Pittsburgh Mainline

Unread postby Sessemerboy » Mon Aug 31, 2020 2:35 am

Im currently working on a route that I started a couple days ago representing the ex Baltimore and Ohio Buffalo and Pittsburgh mainline from Butler to Punxsutawney. Right now Im thinking about modeling the main line from Butler, to Riker yard in Punxsutawney, while also modeling the branches along the way, like the Kittanning Sub from Reesedale, PA to Freeport, PA. As well as the Indiana sub from Punxsutawney, PA to Homer City, PA, and possibly the line to Petrolia, PA. Im not sure yet if I’ll make it to New Castle, I think Ill wait till I get everything else done first. Furthermore, are there any must have asset packs aside from the RCAP that I should add to be as close to reality as possible, like store models and houses and what not? I tend to really like accuracy like that haha. Any feedback would be super appreciated! The pictures are of the rendition of WS interlocking, just east of Butler.

There is a lot of free stuff on Great Northerner page to is very useful. http://www.golden-age-rails.com/ Also assets from those guys Rick Grout, Michael Stephen, Wade Campbell, and Jim Friedland freeware routes are all available to be used. All they ask is you give them credit in your instruction. Additionally 3D Trains has quite a bit of freeware stuff on his page.

Well, after getting many miles finished, the game for whatever reason decided to delete all of my tracks and everything associated with the tracks. Probably not going to touch this for a while haha.

Have you tried the basics? Clear cache and restart? Look through the files for the track assets? Revert to last save?

You tracks are gone because your track.bin file is missing or corrupted. The resolution is to restore that file.

Please check your system for backup or try to restore previous versions at the file level. Right click in the track folder and in that window check previous versions tab.

If you see folder versions in the past you are in luck.

I just bit the bullet and relayed the track. Tried for a while to restore it but couldn’t figure it out. That was a minuscule amount compared to what I have done now.
