The wait for a great model of this iconic coal hauling vehicle is almost over. Rick Grout of G-Trax fame has made a model which I have been painting for testing and is about ready to go. This will be released with a number of road names and I'm taking suggestions for those with some patience. I'm sure several of out talented painters will be all over this to bring many variations to life.
The coal vehicle made famous by Bethlehem Steel lives on to this day from Freight Car America. http://freightcaramerica.com/products/g ... -products/

Any pictures anyone can provide for any small lettering that is often unreadable in most photos would be appreciated as Rick has done this in the 2048 x2048 template so letters as small as 6 are still crisp and readable so we should be able to get all of the lettering on these various schemes accurately.

It is amazing to finally have an accurate version of this railcar. Especially with the Powder River Basin being expanded, can't wait to pull 120 of these bad boys across the plains of the PRB, and then across the Granger Heartland route to KC.

If anyone is looking for a variety of roads/reporting marks for these, look on the site below for 'aluminum rotary gondola' with a capacity between 4200 and 4520. Most of those match this design.

Buzz: The photo's aren't the highest quality, but you may be able to see some of the detail text on the cleaner photos like this:

Nice ones, Buzz!

The game can certainly use and updated model and new road names and paint schemes.
