*Not final colours *!greengrin!*

Currently about a day's work on this one, hopefully it's identifiable even in these early stages. Mostly focusing on the trucks today, of which any reference or information would be greatly appreciated. :D

If you want to throw the pack a bone and do a little something other than just what would be expected (just a suggestion)

Doing up Amfleet #10001 "Beach Grove" . It's their executive car.

And if you want to really get fancy you could also do Amfleet #10002 which is their geometry car.

Excellent work Tom! !!*ok*!!

Could you please paint them up into the Phase V paint scheme?
Image

That would match the Amtrak AEM-7 coming with New York to Philadelphia, and also, the Phase V paint job is totally appropriate for New York City in a route set within the last six years. Yankees colors! *!greengrin!*

And while we're on the topic of Northeast Corridor passenger cars, may we please have Bombardier Comet II cars for New York to Philadelphia in New Jersey Transit and Septa liveries (even if the roadnames are removed).
Image

The Bombardier Comet II passenger cars are seen on many commuter railroads from Boston, MA to Wilmington, DE. Amtrak also has a version of them, but are slightly different in appearance and aren't seen in huge quantities in the Northeast.

Tom with all due respect, can we keep this about Amfleet and not a request thread for totally unrelated items.

I was about to say that the Comet II cars have very similar trucks to the Amfleets. I see both of them all the time in real life and the trucks do look quite similar.

Here are some close ups I found:

Is it possible to script the Amfleets to open up their doors for High and low level platforms in one model without having to create two models to do this?

You can do it now, if you script the platform to act as a sort of signal ( signal is a pretty broad term in RW, you don't have to use them just for train block control ) that tells the train what sort of platform it is. As RW is right now, a platform to a train is just a marker on the track, it doesn't know about the geometry.

Gladly,

But before I do, I would like to ask styckx if he can get larger images of the Layout of the Amfleet from this topic of this forum since he is a member.

http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/r ... ?3,1072331

Ok where did I get them? I got them from a site called OREIS.

http://www.oreis.org/ori_info/help/schem.html

This helps Law enforcement to respond to emergencies, but you can get other diagrams from this site. Its on dvd however.

EDIT:

Image

This is somewhat of an outdated Amfleet Layout. the bottom-left area where you see the table is no longer on the Amfleet, but the two seats still face the other ones.

Your very welcome, however I have a question about a topic myself & Kali touched on in this thread.

How are you going to approach the Amfleets or the rest of the rolling Stock for the NEC when it comes to high and Low level Platforms?
