I often like to go through my old whistle packs and see if there are any whistles that can be improved. This is a clip of a new whistle I've been working on for SP&S 700 and SP 4449. When she was first restored to pull the American Freedom Train (AFT), SP 4449 was given SP&S 700's whistle. She wore this whistle until 1989. The following year, SP&S 700 was restored to operation, and her whistle was returned to her. The 4449 was given a new whistle that was previous worn by a Northern Pacific Z Class Challenger. This clip shows the 4449 pulling the AFT over Marias Pass while wearing SP&S 700's whistle.

I live in portland and often see these 2 beauties!

I was finally able to fix the problem with the new bell for SP&S 700. This clip shows off the new bell and whistle as the 700 passes through Cut Bank, MO on the Marias Pass route.
