TILX, UTLX, and GATX Tankers

Hey everyone.

Over the course of a couple days, I've been working on some new tankers for TS. These are the default Kuju tankers, except with 4K textures!

TILX is already done, but I'm working on GATX right now.

4K textures allow me to get these tankers down to the finest detail. That's right, even the reflectors have detailing.

I'll have more news in the future. I'll be releasing them here on RWA. Sadly, they'll all be one number (that is unless I find a way to autonumber them). I'll let you all know if I find a way.

Looks like something RRmods would make. Nice job! Couldn't even tell those were the old Kuju cars.

Thank you! Textures make a world of difference.

What's your problem with auto numbering? I feel like I have spent half my life tussling with these issues and mostly winning.

The problem is the size and location. It's too low and too small. My last resort would probably be decals.

Obviously I can't help with this problem.

That's fine, Buzz. I have the ability to make decals. :D

Slow progress on the UTLX. Should be finished today.

When you say 4K textures, do you mean you enlarged the textures to 4096x4096 for editing?

Yes. They're 4096x4096 in the game as well.

So, did you enlarge the TGPCX file first? Please explain...

I basically exported a blank 4096x4096 texture in the blueprint editor, then renamed the texture to the original name (in this case TKR_TankCar_UP.TgPcDx). I then began painting as I usually would.

You have to export your original one then put the blank one in your rolling stock folder and rename it the same as the original or when you try to put the larger one back into the TgPcDx from the dds it will tell you it's the wrong height. In my case I exported the 4096x4096 blank to Dxtbmp then put that into Paint.net. Then I opened my smaller texture did a copy all, pasted it into the larger blank and then stretched it to fit the larger template and away you go.
