Western Quebec and Ontario Railroad (Fictional)

Hello everyone. Lately I have started a new route project with my friend, Zach W. We are calling the route "Western Quebec and Manitoba Railroad", reporting mark "WQMR", and it will be a "semi-fictional" route that is HEAVILY based on the Ontario Northland Englehart-Norunda section of track, in Canada. In fact, I'm using both the Google Maps overlay and the "terrain" from the route, but due to inaccuracy with the terrain data (as per usual), it'll be at best a loose stab at the real thing.

I'll be posting updates as I make them. So far, the route has not had alot of work done, but hopefully I'll get good amount done between college classes this coming week! (Lookin at you, Thanksgiving break ;). I'm hoping that posting on here, and the feedback from all of you, will give me the motivation that I normally do not lack to finish a route.

I'd appreciate any feedback as we go along here.

Let me provide an answer to questions I know will be asked:

1. NO, it will not be released on the Steam Workshop, due to 3rd party assets (mainly SMM Digital signals edited by me).

2. NO, I do not know when it will BE released; but expect it to take a while as I have a very slow, meticulous style of route building.

3. Yes, you can run whatever the heck you want when I release it. It's a fictional, so "fictionalize" to your hearts content.

I look forward to hearing from you all! In closing, here's a few images for you:

Yay, another canadian route! I wish you success.
Signals look like the real thing.
I like the green livery too.

My small piece of advice is: before using any asset, make a note of it, including where it comes from. Don't wait until release time and try to remember. It will make everyone's life easier.

Wow! I like it. But then I am from Ontario and until now there where very few Canadian Routes. Now with Canadian Mountain Passes, CN Peace River and your offering I can run more trains in Canada I'm a fan. I will be watching for updates. !!*ok*!!

Here are some screenshots of the route as of 1550 Hours on November 21.

**Note, the route has been renamed to "Western Quebec and Ontario", thanks to a friend pointing out that I had my provinces all confused xD**

A bit of new work on the WQOR. Yes, I renamed it to the "Western Quebec and Ontario"; I got my provinces wrong ;)

WQOR #3553 leads a Westbound grain train, which has just departed Rouyn-Noranda and is passing over Rte 117.

The lines two sister GP35's, #3553 and #3551, pass over a section of new ties that had to be replaced due to washouts.

I'd appreciate any feedback you all have at this time :) Hope you enjoy! !*salute*!

Don't forget winter textures, winter scenarios and snowplows, they're gonna be needed.

Well, I'm using Stevens Pass, Marias Pass, and Canadian Mountain Passes for most of the scenery so it SHOULD hopefully be already snow-ready ;)

And about the snow plow: unfortunately, I'd need to make a child object to do that. But, at the moment I have a friend trying to make ditchlights for the engine, so who knows what'll happen ;)
