This is really been a challenging fall, with work and all of life's responsibilities and challenges. Through all of that I have had the Bergen to go to build, create and realize a dream. Through the days and nights, the past three months work keep on going in spite of other obligations that seemed to forever interrupt the work. Though all of this, you have been there, with your PMs, posts and pictures. Your encouragement and advice have aided, in no small way, in the ongoing development of this project.

I want to wish all of a you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

In my next post I will submit the epilogue to the Bergen, the acknowledgements, a dedication to those living and those departed, who I have thought of during this journey.

I plan on deleting the post in the next few days, I wanted to let you all know, why someone would build something like this for so long...

Jerry would be proud to see what you have made. A route that has shown a place and a railroad looked over. The Bergen is no Donner Pass, no Mountain Division, but still you have drawn the attention of railroaders from across the country to marvel at the New York Division. Stories and memories you have spread across us, and we have shared our own. You have also convinced some of us to make our own memories and stories. My parents said when we go to New York, we will make a detour to Passiac to see some of the railroading sights down there. Time to see some Dundee!

Excellent work, Miner. You have made a B&M man care about another railroad, which nobody else has really done. !*salute*!
