After the Hallsbury Division, I tossed around a few ideas, some never materialized, some got a little work done on them.
But one stuck. And it's a real interesting one, in my opinion. It includes a fictional line of a commuter railroad never really shown at all in Railworks: The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority.

The Rowlston Line is located on the north shore of Massachusetts, and quite a bit of shoreline in New Hampshire. It begins at Boston, Massachusetts and terminates in Rowlston, New Hampshire, a small fictional port city on the north shores of New Hampshire. Some features include marshlands, quite a bit of oceanfront scenery, and a lift bridge in the town of Brandon Beach, a small but very active port town.

Here is the lift bridge, over the Merrimack River. You can see some hills in the backdrop.

This is the MBTA station on the south side of the river at Brandon Beach. This is where double track ends, and not that far north, you enter Granite State territory.

This is an industry on the Brandon port industrial track, a little-used spur operated by Pan Am.

This will be a bit long, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Hopefully a touch of MBTA and coastline should add some diversity!

I really like the idea of Boston and Maine routes, my favorite RR as I grew up in Mass and NH.I am even working on a partially done New Hampshire Northcoast RR(formerly B&M route)Ossippee NH to Dover NH prototypical,ie real route .Just curious, why allways fictional branches for you? Why not make the actual Boston to Portsmouth ,NH route? It would be awsome. !*salute*!

I would, but there are two issues that kill me with it. Those are the Sarah Mildred long bridge and the US Route 1 bridge in Portsmouth, NH. They are large and realy intricately designed. If not for those, you would be pulling passenger and freight trains between Newburyport and Portsmouth.
I have two prototypical route in the pipeline. The New England southern and the M&L branch. If I really wanted to cause me and everyone else pain, I could add another to the list and build a Guilford-era Watertown branch, the equivalent of a railroad rollercoaster ride! !*roll-laugh*!
