T&B Revamp and Extension.

Hey all.
The St.L&A is basically done. Need a few repaints finished before I ship it off. While I wait for that, I got something else in the works. No rest for the weary, eh?
Remember my first route, the Thurmont and Branford? I sure do. I don't think you ever forget your first route.
I looked at it and thought "Wow. This route is graphically inferior to my newer route and very, very short."
And it is. There is so much more to the routes inspiration, the Claremont and Concord, than the street running in downtown. There is a LOT more countryside running to make.
So, I'm going to graphically update it (Better trees, more vegetation, and other works) and expand it to Branford, where it will interchange with another shortline and the B&M/Guilford/Pan Am. Running through about 5 more towns, you will be serving mainly small industries, minus a few medium sized to large sized ones scattered about. Do I know what those will be? No. I usually just do fictional routes on the fly, so we will see what happens. When will it be based, since it's being expanded? Throw a dart at a dartboard that's labeled 1980 to 2020, and see where it sticks. Thats the date.
Get ready for riverside running, countryside switching, more downtown scenes, and....a 7% grade. Yikes! *!twisted!*
Pictures should be here later today, when my game stops crashing. Maybe I should just turn down my graphics quality? !*don-know!* (Yes Buzz, I did get Iobbit System care)

Well I suppose it's a good thing the T&B uses a 44 tonner. *!lol!*

That's the only loco that they can use for the city trackage, which is why they have two.
The countryside is another story, that's why they also own an S2...

Thanks for the kind words! !!*ok*!! *!!thnx!!*
Interesting thing about that curve: It is actually based off of one of the Claremont and Concord's industries, Coy Paper.
Image
The curve and gradient mix was so demanding that special couplers needed to be put on in order to serve the mill. Also, note the rail trestle in the background.
Interestingly enough, the mill was served into the 80's before it was shut down. The final street trackage was abandoned in 1990.

There is a pretty neat video showcasing the former street track filmed in 1990. I'll have to find it...

You are most welcome ! Take that picture and reproduce everything there in that scene. Just load the detail up until you drop to 20fps.
Make it awesome!

It takes a lot to get this baby to 20 fps, but I certainly added more scenery.

If the maker of the thread revives it, is it still a bad thing?
Anyways, I'm finally going back to this, and with some new route-building knowledge.

This is in the town of Hinsdale, NH, which is reached by the Thurmont and Branford Shortline.
Lets see how I do this time around!
