There were some people interested in this so here you guys go!

Just before the start of a new century, CSX acquired 25 SD70Ms in a trade with EMD. Today these engines are usually confined to the Bone Valley in central Florida, but many have showed up on other Florida trains such as Q453 to Miami.

This pack will include:

A CSX SD70M in fresh and spiffy YN3 (pictured).

A CSX SD70M in faded and ratty YN3.

A CSX SD70M in fresh and spiffier YN3B.

And one or two patched EMD demonstrators.

I still have some cleaning up to do on the clean YN3 livery. These reskins use the Southern Pacific SD70M DLC.

Lucky for me, the SP SD70M and CSX SD70MAC are mapped mostly the same way, so I can convert it from this to the CSX SD70MAC as drop-in replacements for the original textures. *!greengrin!*

!!*ok*!!

I have finished the YN3B version and have started the ratty skin.

I plan on revising the weathering from the frame down on the ratty engine so it will look more natural vs. the current spray painted brown appearance. (Talk about a run on sentence..)

They all look excellent, don't forget to have the prototypical numbers for each and every unit

Good. The weathered model's chassis looks a bit too brown painted rather than weathered

I echo Imphanum. Anything CSX is always welcome. YN2 will always be my favorite CSX paint scheme although the dark future paint is also nice. Good work JM1261. !!*ok*!!

Personally I don't think we have any early CSX schemes, like stealth grey. Those were some cool, albeit not the most eye catching paintschemes IMO.

Speaking of which, feel free to do a YN2 repaint of the SD70M!

We have the early paints on some other locomotives. I know because I did them. !*roll-laugh*!

JM, do you know how to decrease the shine on the weathered parts?

Yes I do, and to be honest I didn't even think about decreasing the shine beforehand *!lol!*.

So I went back and redid the underframe weathering on the crusty 70M, and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Let me know what you guys think please! *!greengrin!*

Not an SD70M, but I am considering revisiting this one and finally finishing it. I stopped working on it because the texture quality got killed thanks to the dds converter, as you can see in the attached image.
