Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this!

I'm doing something similiar to Miami-WPB, but I'll probably never get it done.

I actually enjoyed doing them, and it took less than a week. The crossings on the NJCL are a big part of a line, and I've crossed a few of them in person and their accuracy in the sim just started to bug me. (I'm a nit-picker

) If you have the time you can get it done, I replaced something like 70 crossings, it wasn't too time consuming, it was just very repetitive.

Wow, these make a world of a difference. I hope you find a way to release this.

I agree, it makes a HUGE difference! I've only run the route a handful of times but with as many crossings as there are, it would start to get boring.

This is excellent! You have represented them well and I know as I live just a few miles from the Coast Line.

I know SMM posted a crossing replacement a while back, but I think it might've just replaced the old textures. If anyone could help me package this, it's ready to be uploaded to the library.

Maybe the modified land tiles are positioned outside the .ap file located in "Content\Routes\00000058-0000-0000-0000-000000002015".

Aren't the crossing gates part of the track tiles?

I honestly don't even know where to start. If I could PM someone with the route the files to help figure out a way to release it.

The files would take up too much space.

Buzz asked me about this and here is my reply to him.
If they are working crossing gates they are a track related item. You have to place several gizmos, depending on how many tracks you have. So that is defintely track files. However, parts of it like the posts may be regular scenery. The way to test it would be check your dates, then add 1 crossing gate to the system and then check the scenery and track files for being updated. tracks.bin will also be updated. So you wo uld need files from the 3 places. Remember about me and the signal bridges? They were scenery but had signals attached to them. The crossing gates may be the same way.

I think we will get this figured out shortly.

Who wants to beta this thing?
