Straight Outta Waycross

Coming to a CSX route near you (if you choose to download them, that is). This is a set of three C40-8Ws in CSX's YN3B paint; one plain boxcar logo unit, the Chessie System "bumper" sticker unit, and the Atlantic Coast Line sticker unit.

The YN3B livery comes with accurate dynamic numbers, while the two sticker locomotives have their own respective static numbers. *!!thnx!!* to ZekTheKid for sending me his Miami Dash 8 number fix for use on these engines.

As a bonus, this pack will come with a horn made by Zek and an optional safety vest texture for your virtual train crew.

I told you I'd be sleeping, but my room has to cool down because of an AC problem.

Anyway, why are some of the decals 'beyond your control'?

Well it's specifically the safety decals on the nose. The texture for the nose if funky (it goes up slightly in opposing directions from the middle - I hope that makes sense), and even though I adjusted the labels and such, they show up crooked and look funky. It seems like a minor fix, but when I do minor fixes this is often me: !*hp*!.

Here's something else that I have been messing with. Not 100% done, but it is nearly there. If there is enough interest I'll finish the unit up and submit it to the file library.

Ooh. There's already one over on TheLocoShop, but IMO this one looks way better. !!*ok*!! Any thoughts about a YN3 one?

Thanks guys! I'm really glad you like them mysterytrain, I enjoy your Youtube videos so it means a lot coming from you. !!*ok*!!

Zek, I'll think about a YN3 version. And its funny that you should mention The Loco Shop; I actually made the YN3B C40-8 you see here because the link for their CSX Dash 8s was taken down.

Apparently it's back up, last time I checked. I thought thought it also had YN2, but that link seems to be taken down.

There are a few skins for Ian's C40-8 on that site, but none for the DTG version. Anyways, I'll throw in a YN3 version *&!welcome!&*.

Thank you! :D

Alright, here's what I have so far with the standard cab Dash 8s. The YN3 livery still needs some tweaking.

I'm not a big CSX fan but I like what you've got going here for sure!

Are the C40-8s DTG's NS version?

Come over to the dark side, we have heritage stickers... *!twisted!*

Thanks, and to answer your question, yes they are for the DTG version.
