Since I already had the crane built for the Logging Camp Crane asset, I decided to mount it on an old flat car for an old time MOW Crane:

It can be used as a static crane, or for the more adventurous, willing to modify their player's engine bin file, it can be an animated crane:

Unfortunately, the crane will not have any functionality, it will just look neat.

I have the idler car in the works and will release them as a pair.

What kind of stuff do you think would be on the idler car? I figure a small shack on one end, but there should be assorted material on the car deck, related to the crane's use.

There should be some cords and logs or coal to fire the crane.

idler cars usualy carry wheels, rails, cables/chains, and whatever else is accociated with MOW. i should know, after all me and a friend do own a 250T crane and tender.(this is the real thing and not a model!!!!) it came with wheels and rails on the tender. but if you want to go to extremes there also was another car......it was a heavyweight coach with the roof and walls cut off the end. 2 small cranes at each end lifted wheel sets out of the rest of the car and onto the tracks for quick repairs on the line. the cranes were unpowered, but moved by one of those chain pully systems like the ones to lift heavy weights in a shop. i have pictures but i halfto scan them.
