This is the first unit. It's still in the early stages.


This is the plan I'm using. I have no idea what it use to be, but based on pictures I've seen it could possibly have been an RS-3.


Because I've seen a lot of pictures of various alcos converted into slugs, I was thinking of making a variety of different slug units. Let me know if that would be a good idea.

Neat idea! It looks similar to the GP9 based slugs that CN uses in my area.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It looks like an RS-3 with a shorter hood.

That looks GREAT, but if I could make a humble suggestion:

Would you consider going for a full-on RS3 instead of (or in addition to) the slug? We could certainly use an updated model! Not that we'd at complain of course :-)

I'll try to do a full RS-3, but for right now my priority is getting this finished.

Here's another progress shot with a placeholder fuel tank and some of the trucks done.

I honestly don't know because this is the first model that I'm going to hopefully complete. I also have no experience doing anything related to painting or scripting, so I will need help with everything after the model is finished. This is also being made in Blender.
