[QUOTE OF THE MONTH]
"Terrain Simulator 2016 - Scenery so deep, ya gotta play "Where's Walddo" to find the train" -Minerman146

=========================================================================
I have been using my "Glimpses" Technique of detailing that provides a snapshot thru the trees of a super detailed scene in the hopes that you almost never see the same thing on each run and your are always discovering something new :)

"The train is merely a player on the stage that is the world you have created." - MinerMan
*** Take the QuickDrive, "MinerMan's Inspection Tour" in a freight consist for a real treat! ***
*Max Freight Speed on the Shoreline NEC Section is 50mph

"Please read the description before you download and read it again before you decide to vote. These assets help recreate Connecticut in a way that is simply not done in Train Simulator. The scenery is deep and expansive and uses a boatload of assets (DLC) to do it. If you have them your in luck, if you need them, CAREFULLY consider the cost before you do. SQK - thank you for raising the bar with your work here on the BSRR. You are an inspiration."

[ROUTE DESCRIPTION]
The Branford Steam Railroad (BSRR) is a 6 mile branch line on the North East Corridor (NEC) serving the Tilcon Totoket Mountain Stone quarry in North Branford, Connecticut, USA. The BSRR Serves Gravel to the Providence and Worcester Railroad, and Amtrak via the NEC Interchange Yard, and with the Buchanan Marine Company Barge Facility at Juniper Point.

*Author's Note: A little secret, the BSRR is forever a summer route, based on my childhood memories :) I build the route originally just for myself and then after great persuasion to release, I have spent two months retrofitting all my custom and 3rd Party Assets to only DTG DLC. I hope you enjoy the route, as much as I have over the last 2 years making it! ~sqk4477

My grandparents lived up in the area and I would head out on the bike and visit the BSRR, hangout with the signal man and help stop traffic during interchange movements. If you have the marketplace DLC pack you will see a silver bicycle (Requires Marketplace Platform Clutter Scenery pack) placed at points along the route. These are 16 Easter Eggs marking all the places I used to watch the trains. There is also a not so hidden Easter egg on the BSRR with Do not enter signs and Barricade fencing that are tossed on the side of the NEC mainline trackage. These signify where i was originally going to stop the route. ;)

As a bonus the BSRR also includes a Work in Progress route featuring 56 Miles of the North East Corridor from West Haven MP69 to Groton CT MP125, that ties all the Branch Lines together and offers the following:

BSRR Clinton, CT. Paying Tribute to our Soldiers on this Memorial Day

Image

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Since when am I the route's official "scenario and signal tester"? Looking good SQK, keep posting screenshots to this forum and your subscribers might just go up! ;)

Sqk, it is time to post screenshots of the BSRR. Do it here on rwa, the home of the rail "enthusiast"

I installed the branford steam railroad and I get the great scenery of buildings trees and locomotives, but the track and grass textures are missing in every sim. I have installed all the required DLC's and more. I also cleared the cache. All other Dlc's are fine and have all textures except the Branford line.

Hi LawDoctor, thanks for your post!
Tracks are created with the NEC and NYNH lofts, and require these two routes.

Please try clearing cache.

Thanks!

Lawdoctor

Hi LawDoctor, just wanted to check-in and see if you got things working?
The Blueprint for the route requires NEC (north east corridor) for track and textures, and the NYNH for some track.

Please make sure those are added. Also see if the Original BSRR Shortline route http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=769896440 works for you.

1. Delete the BSRR route
2. Clear Cache
3. Run - Verify Integrity of Game Cache
4. Re-Install the BSRR Route

Thanks!

I looked for the Northeast corridor blueprint download but could not find it in steam, can you tell me exactly where it is? Also, I have installed the NyNh line the New jersey line, the springfield and New Haven line, Penn Coal, stevens pass, Canadian railroad line and all the other requirements for your add on. I also put in the steam workshop New Haven to boston line, should I have done that? I cleared cache and nothing happened. Verifying cache has been a problem, I start it and after 2 hrs. Nothing moves I'm still at 0% completed, I don't know what this is about?

Lawdoctor - I left a message for SQK to reach out to you. I was checking the route today myself and it looks fine, in New London. If you just go into the route editor - at the top of the screen is a compass enter the latitude and Longitude for New London: 41.341929, -72.038389 . I confirm track and scenery there.

I would not have you verify the game integrity - not necessary. That checks for missing files in every single DCL you own.

Do the following and blow his route away so you can get a fresh download from Steam.

To resolve, simply delete the contents of the BSRR Route Folder and restart Train Simulator or even better, restart you computer. When you logon to steam again, a new copy of the route will download.

This is the path to the route folder for the BSRR:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\05460e01-efb3-45cf-9901-2566995e0fa1

After this is complete, then Mr. SQK can continue to troubleshoot. Its worth the time to do, his route is unbelievable detailed! Of course, finishing the route would also be nice.
