Thanks. I hope to get back to it tomorrow. We had a busy Thanksgiving.

For some reason, I can't get the numbers to change. I have a correct dcsv file and modified the locomotive bin file to point to it but they don't change. I think I forgot everything over the summer!

There is a numbers bin in which you have to rename the numbers for your paint (whatever you call it) so the main bin is looking for those numbers instead of whatever you modeled from. I hope that makes sense. *!greengrin!*

The default numbers folder is in the root directory. To do custom numbers, you will need to copy the numbers folder to the root of your model directory. Then change the pointer in the loco .bin file to your new numbers folder. Edit the ro_numbers.bin file in the new numbers folder so that it is looking for the textures in the right place. After that, you can edit the numbers to your hearts content.

Hint: Rich did a super job with the numbering panels, they will display up to 4 numbers, and auto-center anything less.

Yeah, I know I will need to make a new set of numbers with the Railroad Roman font (I thought I already had one). I was just trying to get it to use the correct NP unit numbers with the default font first. The engine bin points to ro_numbers in the root directory. I changed the line in the engine bin to point to my dcsv thinking it would use it with the default fonts but it did not. Like Buzz said, I hope this makes sense!

Set the dscv pointer to; Dogmouse\alco_S2\RailVehicles\Diesel\alco_S2\NP\Engine\S2_numbers.dcsv. That should let you set up the numbers.

The ro_numbers.bin is in the numbers folder proper, and indexes the number textures.

That's what I set it to but it doesn't seem to work.

<NumberingList>
<cCSVContainer>
<CsvFile d:type="cDeltaString">Dogmouse\alco_S2\RailVehicles\Diesel\alco_S2\NP\Engine\s2_numbers</CsvFile>
</cCSVContainer>
</NumberingList>

And I have my "s2_numbers.dcsv" in the engine folder. It should work, but it's not. Thanks for the help though!

I did get the font changed and the front stripes added.

Hey Slick,
Your NP is looking awesome!! !*brav*!

Just wanted to mention that you can paint your grip irons individually on the front hood there, if you need to. I forgot to mention this in the template readme.

By the way, I have a RR Roman set for the S2 that does both the number board and the body in roman, the body numbers are maroon, but you can fix that. PM me if you want them

I have it worked out now. I had to delete and re-add the S2 to the scenario for the numbers to change. !*don-know!*
Thanks for the number set Mike! !*cheers*!
