Fictional Railroad Logos

Unread postby ErikGorbiHamilton » Wed Nov 25, 2015 9:45 pm

Here is something i want to start up. Ima be honest, I have been a fan of fictional railroads ever since the MSTS days. So after some thought i thought i could make a forum post for people to share (if they create one) their fictional railroad logo.

here is two that i created:

Edensvale Logging & Navigation Company

Algona Leasing Corporation

Share yours!

I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as it looks realistic, like it could have been real, and also as long as it sounds realistic.

I dont know why this was moved to the route design thread as this has nothing to do with routes...

Im thinking about doing requests. So if you want a logo, Just hit me up. Ill see what i can do in MS Paint.

Two more for tonight:

Polaris Railroad: A Class 1 that runs in the far north.
Image

^---- I tried to imitate the Northern Lights

The Cascade Railroad: AKA "the Cascades Route". Runs on ex mainline and branchline trackage around the Cascades of washington.
Image

^-- I feel like i could add more to the logo

Actually it doesn't have much to do with anything but knock your socks off.

Nice logos Erik, I really like the Polaris one !!*ok*!! I'm sure enough people have seen my Desert Pacific stuff, so here's the "official" logos.
Main Logo

BN Ripoff Logo *!lol!* (This one should look more like the first one but I haven't gotten around to revising it.)

I'm curious to see what other fictional railroads lie throughout the RWA community :D

I remember that project!

I think it still lurks around in the abyss of the forums.

I do have my own fictional company. I might draw a design and place it here for creation.

You know i never had the FBL when i played MSTS. I always wanted it but then again i was about 3-4 when that route came out. I got Seaview later. That was a really trippy route.

I drew this sometime ago in paint, (I don't have photoshop or anything like that) and it's just a rough idea, but it's a the logo for my fictional narrow gauge railroad set in Trinity County, California. I originally came up with the idea for an HOn3 layout, but it has found it's way in TS. The runs from Etna, CA to Hayfork, CA with 3 branches. Ideally I would set the time period as 1915, but Trinity Lake was formed in around 1960 and the DEM data has a big lake over part of the route now, so I've had to work around that when laying track in the sim. The main industries served is mining and timber, including the LaGrange Mine near Weaverville,CA which was once the largest hydraulic mine in world.

This is the logo currently used by Trinity County, which if I changed the lettering in it, I always thought would work well for as a more official logo for the TCNG. But for now the top logo would work well on boxcars, gondolas, etc.
