TRGX Richardson Grain Hopper

Unread postby CPRailfan34 » Mon Nov 09, 2015 4:41 pm

Hey guys its been a while since I have done any repaints! So i am proud to announce i have almost finished my next repaint!

Here its is, the Richardson TRGX hopper. I have some touching up to do on the textures mostly minor adjustments and I have to apply the default auto numbering. I am currently using the numbering from the CSX Cement hopper from NE. This is for demonstration purposes as i will apply the default black numbering after i finish up with the textures. Be fair warned the textures may be blury due to me using the absolute lowest settings in game.

the good news is I have have purchased a new computer with more power and i will be able to play train simulator in higher settings soon, blury pictures will be a thing of the past.

Update time! I got the textures just right, though the car has some black and red text under the Richardson logo, the red being a safety warning. can anybody find images of that section so i can copy it and place it where it belongs although the cars now a days probably no longer have the warning on the car. Here is a updated image of both sides side by side using two cars. and I have found a much crisper logo to use. I have grabbed the default cement numbers so this will work even without the CSX repaint. The car is now complete. Does anyone want to test the repaint and possibly send me a higher settings screenshot of the car?

I will pack up the car within the next few days.

Here is a little bit of information about Richardson. Richardson is Canada's largest grain distributor and ships grain to the Western coast of Canada, Central Canada, the West coast of the US, and even as for south as Mexico. the grain cars are new in 2014, and they look like this:

they have tankers too, which i might do, not sue entirely though.

Here is the the 7zip containing the RWP if anyone wants to use the car for testing purposes and send me photos for use in the main 7ZIP file for upload to the site.

Hey guys I forgot to mention for the images, please include the thumbnail that is also taken with the screen shot with higher settings, this will allow me to see the repaint with clearer textures. Another quick fact about the Richardson hopper is that these were usually in unit trains. Richardson is part of Pioneer, an older grain company from the Canadian prairies. Both CN and CP run the cars, although it was Union Pacific that delivered the cars up to Canada.Yes you can have the cars head from the assembly plant up on a northbound train. I know these particular cars will be right at home going through the Canadian Mountain Passes Route. when you find a decent spot for a screenshot please send me the screenshot and thumbnail via PM and i"ll give you credit on the Read me file included with the final product.

Thanks for your kind words and they do look very nice in unit trains don't they? That screenshot would work perfectly for both the screenshot and the thumbnail.

Thank you for you comment on my newest repaint, it was a rather quick and easy repaint to do. Another prototype car for use. It should go well for the Canadian fans out there, and those who are fans of the rolling stock from the great white north.

Your welcome mysterytrain, thanks for the feedback. This may be my last repaint on my current computer as I am expecting my new one to be shipped either this month or the next month. From then on expect higher quality images from me.

Thanks Buzz I appreciate the help with the images, when it comes to showing a final product lowest settings just doesn't cut it. When you use the lowest settings the textures get distorted, and that doesn't make them look any better than what you initially wanted them to. In fact it make them look worse, that is why I prefer higher settings for screenshots.
