While playing the release version of the route, you can expect that all track, signalling, and platforms are in place. The Release Channel is not updated very frequently because the Preview Channel is where most of the development takes place. Once a build in the Preview Channel has become stable, it will then get published to the Release Channel.

Preview Channel

The "Preview Channel" is where the absolute latest versions of the route are published. It is meant for users to see and test what is being worked on in between major content releases. While playing the preview version of the route, DO NOT expect that all features are included and working properly. The Preview Channel is updated very frequently as it is where all the development takes place. Once a build in the Preview Channel has become stable, it will then get published to the Release Channel.

Thanks! So you are going to attempt creating the Philadelphia - Washington D.C. section?

Well I have to re-teach myself everything about route building again and catch up with the latest tools. Hopefully I won't need redem anymore.

Daft Wally asks...

Dear Mr. Juice,

I'm having problems with this route.

I can download the file from the Workshop without difficulty - the latest download file is 120 MB. Then things start to go pear-shaped...

When I attempt to run existing scenarios, or build free roams, I find that there's no scenery, and no geomorphology - just a white grid with rail track, occasional platforms and occasional signals. There's nothing that looks like your illustrations in this thread. Are they taken from a developer's private version? Or is there a small area which is more fully developed than the rest?

I'm also finding that the scenarios are failing with 'missing stock' messages, which is odd because I think I have all the necessary DLCs. Does your implementation require .ap files to be unpacked? Or is there something else that I'm missing?

Any help - or a pointer to the instructions that I should have read, would be most welcome...

Kind regards,

John M

PS My RW/TS skills are reasonable. I've been using the system for three years and more, and have a collection of around 500 routes.

Hello,

Only portions of the route are developed like in the pictures. Since this is a work in progress, much of the route is not yet finished. I took photos only of the most decorated parts such as Boston South Station, Wickford Junction, and Kingston Station. What you are seeing is totally normal :D

As for missing stock, you will need Northeast Corridor DLC for the AEM-7, and New York New Haven DLC for the ACS-64. You may also need the Academy installed (comes with TS2015)

I am sorry if I mislead you in any way. Thank you for your interest in my route.

Dear cActUsjUiCe,

Thanks for a prompt and very helpful reply!

I shall take a good look at the areas you mention as having scenery. And I do understand that you have taken on a big, big project here. May your resolve remain strong!

I have all the DLC, but am still being told that vehicles are missing - I'll try opening the asset .ap files to see if that makes a difference to the QD scenarios.

Kind regards,

John M
