This is a new Route I am working on with a friend. The length of the Route will be in the Hundreds in miles. The final length has not been determined. My friend is doing all of the track work. As of now there are just the two of us working on the route. I am doing the scenery and as I said my friend is doing all of the track work. We will be adding more people to help us. Please do not ask for a copy of the route because the answer will be No. Once the route is completed then we will release it as Freeware. The Time frame has not been set it will take some time to complete. I am putting a link to my PhotoBucket site for everyone to see the progress. The screen shots are from Winnipeg Canada. I will add more later. The route will go from Winnipeg West-East- North and South. http://s37.photobucket.com/user/dleeboy ... AN%20ROUTE

!*YAAA*! Your scenery work is amazing! Is this modeled after a real sub or is this fictional? Really love those screenshots!

Edit* If this is fictional, is this yard modeled after CN Macmillan yard in Toronto? They look so similar.

Thank You for your offer but if I did that then you would have a copy of the route. And like I said before this route will not be released until it is done. These posts are to show the progress of the route for everyone to enjoy. Here is another video this is at the Symington Yard of the famous Symington Hump. http://youtu.be/kRTObMkU10Y

Looking great. I can't wait for a CN route.
You are doing well.
The only risk I'm seeing in your project is its size. There is a danger of getting discouraged when doing a hundred-miles route. A good strategy is to do it in stages, like the VNHRR project.
What is the engine/repaint/sound kit used in this video? And the graffitied CN boxcars?

If a bit of creative criticism is allowed, then I would say make the hump in Symington Yard a fair bit taller, and change the bridge going over the CP tracks near Archibald to an under rail plate girder style. Another thing in Symington Yard would be to include the drainage canals throughout the yard, including in the turn-around, where it should be mostly barren, with the canals cutting through it. Also, be careful with which lines are which railroads. Because of the layout in the central industrial area (Mission Industrial), it can get a little confusing as to which railroad owns what, though I can tell you (including all other areas in the city);

- The majority of the tracks in that area are owned by CP, including the little yard that has the auto terminal, branching off the CN line running west out of Symington, that is, the track that goes over the bridge over Lagimodiere Blvrd. and continues west until meeting CN Rivers Sub up the hill (almost never used, tracks are in bad shape, for future reference. Another thing to watch for is the track has a slight kink in it, due to it being the remainder of CN's 2 track mainline west out of Symington, before the wye north of Symington was built);
- The tracks leading east from Mission Industrial that cross Lagimodiere just past Dugald heading south are owned by The Greater Winnipeg Water District Railway, leading to Shoal Lake on the border of Manitoba-Ontario;
- The tracks that branch up north from CN Redditt at the wye north of Symington, adjacent to the Walmart (that I work at), marking the meeting of CN Redditt, Sprague, and Rivers Subdivisions, is a CN owned track operated by Cando Rail Services under the Central Manitoba Railway (CEMR) name. CEMR then meets with CP at the junction with the CP Keewatin Subdivision, and shares the yard at that location with CP. CEMR then continues towards the south at the junction off of CN Rivers that crosses over Wilkes Avenue.
- The crossover just south of Taylor Avenue, east of Kenaston Blvrd., is owned by CP, with trackage rights to, get this, BNSF Manitoba. Not connected by rail to BNSF in America.

Also, don't forget, Winnipeg is in a valley. Even though it looks really flat here, it really isn't. *!lol!*

Hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm nitpicking! (It probably does *!embar*! )
It's really cool watching the videos and seeing places I travel by all the time! Keep up the good work! See, as long as it's recognizable (or better), you're doing great! :D

Thanks for your comments I have no problem with them you live there and know how it looks. I do not plan on changing what scenery work I have already done. It would take me longer than I want to do. I am not complaining on your comments I just don't want to redo my work. My goal is to make it look close but if I am off a little I am alright with that. Continue to comment you might be able to give me some ideas. Thanks again I am uploading a new video now and when it is done I will put the link here.

Looking superb so far! It looks just like the Manitoban country-side! And don't worry, everything you do is up to you, don't feel pressured at all by what other people ask to implement. It's your (and your friend's) creation, after all. *!!wink!!*

I think it's quite the cool thing that you are from California, doing a route in Man-it's-cold-out (or Mani-snow-ba), Canada.
