GE 70 Ton Locomotive

Unread postby RickKfoury » Fri Mar 06, 2015 1:32 pm

I am attempting to learn how to craft locomotives and for my first attempt I will be trying a locomotive that should be rather simple, the General Electric 70 Ton Locomotive. This switcher was very common on both short lines and in the switch yards of some Class 1 railroads.

I've never done this before, so wish me luck! Any advice/ words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated !!*ok*!!

Would be interesting, but I would advise that you try to start with scenery first, I had to learn the hard way that I couldn't build locomotives right away, I actually had to backtrack and start with scenery.

However, if you really want to try, I could give you one of my 60's trucks and you can try to put it on the tracks as a simple mow vehicle, that way you can start to get an idea of how to get a locomotive to actually work in the sim.

I found a good tutorial website, I will attempt some basic objects before taking a crack at locomotives.
