There's Gotta Be a Better Way.

Does anybody know of a way to view rolling stock outside of the consist builder? As a repainter, it's hard for me to squint at that tiny little box while trying to line up my textures, and then run back to Photoshop, and try to guess where they are. As a former repainter from MSTS, there is a program called Shapeviewer, which really helped with the process. Maybe this has something to do with the lack of repainters and the abundance of gimme-pigs in this forum? I'm sure RSC/DTG intended it to be harder for us, but, goldurnit, this is ridiculous!
Feel free to chime in if you have any solutions.

I just keep RW operating and then after I save back to game I go to wherever I have the object in front of me I do a restart game and presto the change or changes I just made pops up in front of me.

I dunno, Buzz. That method seems like a drain on memory and a bit tedious. I'd prefer to have a low-memory budget program running with PS rather than have RW running. The more we have RW running while repainting = the less time we have actually running something. !*cheers*! !*don-know!* **!!2cents!!**

What we need is a handy Shape File Manager like the one used for MSTS.
Cheers!

I'd really like a cross between both SFM and Shapeviewer. That would cover all the bases, and combined with RW_Tools, the processes to development would be complete. Or as much complete as it should be.

What was that program for FS. FSPaint or something like that. I used to do a lot of re-paints using it. That was great. You could see the paint as you put it on. I'm sure that the models were a lot simpler than the ones we have in TS.
