Hello all, I've been reading and using RWA for a while now, although haven't really been involved. I tend to make simple mistakes or overlook the obvious so if I do that, please just let me know. !!**sorry**!!
This is my third large route project (my first major route is in the "steam workshop", Aerthburgh Valley Railroad). I figured I'd share screenshots of my current project here and eventually release it here and finally be involved with the great community here.

This route is an entirely fictional freight route, inspired by railroads, industry, and scenery of Northern Illinois / Wisconsin / Midwestern America (hence the name being 3 counties in Illinois). The route is planned to be about 15 miles long from end to end (with a 4 mile branch line). Most of the route is focused around switching a small yard and "steam generation" plant, a variety of other industries, and trains along the main portion of the route to be brought to an interchange with another RR.

Here's some screenshots of what I have so far (in its current version):

!!howdy!! It's been a long while since I've posted an update to this route. Wanted to show some of the new areas I've been working on. If there's any recommendations or good reference photos I could use for realism, let me know. (Amateur modeler here, but I can try!)

First is an updated map of the entire route

This map details north of the yard and the industrial area there.

I like what I see here a lot however we have no rocks like that here in Northern Illinois. Hills yes, Exposed rocks no. Keep at it.

Been a while since I've made an update. The route is getting closer to having a testable version. There'll be more work later, since I'm relatively newer at route designing there's still quite a bit of work to do: cleaning up, and making things look nicer. Here's some pictures of new work (and some reworking) that's been done. The first few pictures are of a new town, with some switching and a station.

Edit: One of the signals is displaying an (incorrect?) aspect / incorrect signal indication. Still trying to deal with and figure out the RCAP signals.

Nice work.
The picture with the CN boxcar looks very realistic. Nice scenery work there.

Like the picture of the rail going down the center of the street to service the customers in the town. Very much like Portland, ME. used to be, excellently depicted in Rick Grout's Portland Terminal. Keep up the great work!
