GE P42DC Genesis "Veterans" Repaint (W.i.P)

Unread postby Matthias » Tue May 13, 2014 3:31 pm

Hi there,

my name is Matthias, i`m 36 years old and coming from Germany. I`m a Train Dispatcher in reallife, working for German Railways (Deutsche Bahn AG) since 1993.
I love american trains and routes, especially the "Surfliner" route, which I have visited 3 times. Trains fascinated me since i was a little kid and I also like the virtual train world "Railworks" *!!wink!!*

I`ve been working on my P42 DC "Veterans" !*salute*! repaint for a long time now and today it`s time to show you the results... (click to enlarge)

Here is also a short video which i made for a small presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk00ihV_620

I also made some other repaints for the european railways... Most of them are locomotives for freight trains running thru europe.

If you're interested, here is my homepage: http://raildesigns.jimdo.com

When the final work is done on the P42 I talk to you again here... !!*ok*!!

See you...
Best regards from Germany
Matthias J.

This Is what I love to see the most. A person that joins with a project almost completed and is open to opinions. Not someone who joins and begs and begs for their favorite paint job. I salute you sir !*salute*!

Thanks for all the kind words, i really appreciate that!

I had recently not too much time to finish the last work on the locomotive, but I think this coming weekend i will be ready for upload...

When the P42 is finally ready for download i give you a last call here *!!wink!!* I will upload it here (of course) and on my own site too...

So, there are only a few more days to wait... !!*ok*!!

Best regards
Matthias

Hey guys,

it`s finally done !!*ok*!!

Since this friday morning, the repaint is online on my site and will surely also soon be released here in the file library for you.

Shortly a few words ...

I know that the repaint does not fit 100%, but it was not possible for me to make it better under these difficult conditions. The fact that this is the first repaint of the Veterans, maybe shows it...

I hope you like it anyway? Maybe there is still the possibility to revise a few little things and then bring out as an update ... But now I wish you much fun with it !!*ok*!!

Best regards from Germany and have a nice weekend...
