Careful. The IOC is pretty stiff when it comes to their Logos.

They shouldn't mind it was back in 2002, you would think they have much better things to do then hassle someone playing railworks *!rolleyes!*

Yeah, I wouldn't think a freeware repaint would be a problem. We have them for CSX which (from what I read anyways) is notorious for saying "NO" to license for payware stuff.

Why are they? That's stupid... They're one of the only, if not the only railroad in the U.S. that hasn't agreed to let Dovetail use their logos. !!bang!! !*don-know!* !!jabber!!

Maybe one day...

You are right Chris. The no harm no foul rule on things that are given away applies. I have addressed this before and can again if necessary but basically there are no intellectual rights to artistic endeavors as long as there is no monetary gain. Most of the time there are no rights to re-creating anything public such as a locomotive commonly seen in public. In other words if you paint a picture of a railroad locomotive that is commonly seen in public the railroad has no claim to proprietary rights. This would also apply to a re-paint in Railworks.

ah wondering did IOC ask UP to repaint the locomotive after the 2002 Olympics. cause that what happen with cp I think. I saw few of the cp engines in 2010 and now all the engines are repainted back to cp scheme. it like the 2010 Olympics didn't happen lol.
