You got me, I have been lurking on RWA the whole time!
But, I.did meet with my consultant for the EL, my Dad.
He loves how we keep finding Erie guys that run the Bergen!

Back to the pool for me!

Have to admit I'm not much of a passenger train enthusiast, but the Erie units and passenger cars are impressive. !!*ok*!!

Well a sad day has come upon me as far as the Bergen Line goes...

I can no longer even get a new, unedited free roam scenario to load. Which I suspect is due to the lack of performance from my laptop (2.4GHz max)

Try blowing the route away and reinstaling. There has been major asset replacement, west of suffern.

The route still runs on my base test machine.(1gb video,i5 processor, 4gb ram)

Good luck!

Shout out to Chacal. Thats great to see those Erie Lightweights out and available. It may be possible to get the route configured to 1959. As I contemplate, the 1974 version, I think I can keep it real for that time period.
At some point, I would like some advise on getting the Bergen to be all Erie Lackawanna and get DTG on board for me to bring it to life as DLC.
That would make me very happy.

I always forget to do that. Thanks for the reminder since I know that will clear it up. !*cheers*!

In case you hadn't heard- UE4 for TS is on its way. ( You can view the preview here: https://www.facebook.com/railsimulator/ ... =2&theater). What this means for the Bergen is that the Fat Lady is getting ready for her aria. I was hoping to get a full year of having a finalized Bergen out before the new platform was released. Over time interest will wane for TS2016/17 and with it the Bergen. What that means for you is that I will work faster to get this route in a completed state. I can state at this time - I will not be going to Port Jervis for sure. We will try and get to Campbell Hall. Its time to stop looking at the route and put it to work with scenarios - don't you think?

Shoot, I thought I had a shot at building my glorious 89 mile epic!

Don't write off TS2017 so quickly. Not all of us are going to jump to TSW immediately. Look at the life MSTS has had. 15 years and going strong with nothing but community support and development.

Make the route YOU want. Most of us will like it all the better if YOU like it.

They said support for TS2017 will go on into the foreseeable future. They aren't abandoning the old platform thankfully.

I truly appreciate the sentiment.
Time is a killer with the project. The way I see it, the route can't be fully appreciated until its final and you guys are running scenarios on it.
I got 3 miles to go to Harriman, another 9 to the Moodna and a bit more after that. As I grind through this rework and get to where I was at Highland Mills, I will be thinking about pulling the plug. I will be thinking about it, because I know its ok if do. As Whisky said I have done enough.

We had some goals that were the motivation for the route.
Learn how to route build. !!*ok*!!
Build a route with only 3 DLC routes and 2 scenery packs !!*ok*!!
Ensure the broadest possible audience could use the route !!*ok*!!
DTGs "you think you can do better? try the workshop" !!*ok*!!
Make believable scenery that is interesting to look at !!*ok*!!
Hoboken! !!*ok*!!
Do what we promised - the route is called the Bergen Line for a reason - done, we built it !!*ok*!!
Encourage others to Route Build - helped start 5 routes with other people. !!*ok*!!
Get DTG to make us DLC (nope not gonna happen)
Get DTG to make Erie Lackawanna DLC (nope not gonna happen)
Beat a few of our competitors with up votes !!*ok*!!

The routes been done for while - well this modern one. The dream was to make a route that was so gobsmackingly detailed that people would appreciate the Erie Lackawanna before it fades completely from living memory. At that, gentlemen, is what I think about every night as I am planting trees and molding hills. I did not think, and I bet others do to - that it would years to build a 50 mile route like this. I have the proof it take 3400 hours to build a route, it can be done. Yes indeed.

Its build time - I gotta run. !*salute*!
