Revisiting Knollwood, first stop "Northbound" (facing west at this point) on the Mundelein Branch.

It has come to my attention that the version of this railroad in the RWA library at the moment is rather outdated. A bunch of stuff has changed and has been added since it was uploaded in 2013. Therefore, I am planning on releasing a newer version sometime in the next few months, once scenery on what I call "Phase I" (The Mundelein Branch between Lake Bluff and Mundelein) is complete. Stay Tuned!

I think the route is looking great.

Also, what other 50's vehicles would you like for the route, after I finish the Nomad.
Or better yet, if I finish the Nomad I might see if I can build another 50's vehicle, might even try a 1955 Chevrolet truck.

Thanks to Jonathan for what is now the first proper CNS&M structure (of hopefully many). This is South Upton Tower, located 35 miles north of Downtown Chicago.

Not disappeared for good yet, this will fit the route perfectly, started on a model of a 1958 Ford F100 today.

A small tweak tonight. The street trackage model I had been using looked the part, but dated to RailSimulator days and lacked winter textures. As this route should be run in the winter (there was a LOT of snow off Lake Michigan over the years), I swapped it out for Michael Stephan's tram trackage.

I seem to pick at this every now and then, and can see how easily some of these projects end up taking 8-10 years (this one right now at 3.5 years based on this thread). I am still hopeful to eventually flesh out the whole route in scenery. The process seems to be getting faster, and Mundelein (the first "goal" I want to reach) is ever closer. This is Rondout, the convergence point of the North Shore Line, the Milwaukee Road, and the Elgin Joliet and Eastern.

Thanks, All I have to do is find some decent window and door textures to use. Oh yeah, and set up the night lights.
