Very nice.
Looking at these signals I did realize that only the upper part shows something.
I really hope that they've made a script that also includes the other aspects.

I have listed on my site the current aspects of the NEC. I don't think they have changed since Jan 2010.

Most of the switches on the mainline of NEC are likely to be like in this picture here which are little more than boxes next to the track. However, with the side, yard, and other United States switches, you can probably get away with something like the switch stand in this picture here.

The automatic switches look great. Here's one type of many American manual switches available.
Hope there's lots of freight action with the new NEC. (yards-industrial sidings).
Really looking forward to your crews fine work. !*cheers*!

Yeah, the auto ones are fine, but where should we start with a replacement for the manual switch stands?

If your design crew would be so inclined.

Adam,

While I don't live along the NEC, I would suspect that manual switch stands along much of the route are increasingly of a very standard type. "Model 50A" and "model 51A" style switch stands are fairly universal, and can be found in yards and industrial trackage across the US. The two stands are nearly identical (for the purpose of modeling), and can feature one of two handle styles: 1) A simple weighted steel throwing lever, or 2) A more ergonomic "Back Saver" bow handle for increased leverage. Either would be appropriate in a modern setting, though new installations would typically feature the latter.

Style 1 (50A w/ traditional lever)

Style 2 (51A w/ "Back Saver" handle)

The attached drawing should prove sufficient for basic reference (for scale, I believe the target pictured measures 15.5" X 7.0" with 2" holes).
For additional information, including a detailed breakdown of components, see http://www.railsource.com/unitrac/switchstands.pdf.
