I know this is a dead thread, but thank you for posting the above links. I've been trying to find a copy of this route for a while! Is there any other assets needed to run it?

I don't recall anything special however if you find that you are missing anything serious post here and I'll try to find it since mine seems to be pretty much all there.

I ran across an original RWP for this route, but I am not sure if its the most current.

Greetings to all!

This is probably a Daft Wally question...

I'm exploring the Willamette Pass route - which, as you all know, is a wonderful piece of craftmanship. I have found Timm Schulze's "Trouble on the Main" scenario - and all the required assets. All is fine - except that I can't get an in-cab view from Michael Zimmer's rather impressive Dash-9 repaints. (Actually, I can, it's that surrealist collage with all the components in a jumble. Know the one?) I don't have this problem with the default Dash-9, the cab view is fine in that, so I'm guessing that the default version may have been changed since Michael made these reskins.

So, my question is: can anyone advise me - or direct me to advice - on repairing the Zimmer repaints?

Kind regards, and thanks for reading this,

Sounds like you didn't transfer the dash9-44_cab.GeoPcDx from the default loco to the repaint.

... which I thank you for.!*salute*! This was my first thought - and one I have returned to several times...

But...

I have made that transfer - more than once. The result is always the same: a perfectly normal cab in the default loco, and chaotic graphics in the MZimmer reskin. !**conf**!

Hmmm...

I used to think of RW/TS as a fun simulation game... **!!bang!!**

Ah well, it's all part of life's rich travesty...

Kind regards,

I had some repaints from the file lib here and cab view was totally messed up. Turned out to be a file in the couplers folder I needed to transfer. I'll look for my Post later. (I think it's in "problems" section)

ArizonaChris,

Thanks for the intriguing hint and the promised reference! That's very kind.

I'll also have a poke around to see if I can't find a few clues...

It still is, it's far better than Auran Trainz, and closer to MSTS than any other train sim has ever come. Plus RW is created by train enthusiasts unlike Auran Trainz, plus you don't have to pay a monthly fee to use the DLC like you do in Auran Trainz. I got Trainz 2 years ago for Christmas, but by September the DVD was in the trash and everything in the registry was deleted. DoveTail is doing their best to make this as enjoyable as they can, I'm sure your cab problem is something simple. I also have found the RW community to be more mature and helpful than most communities I've been apart of.

What does this have to do with Willamette Pass?

And my question still stands.

Does it really matter? He asked a question, and I was kind enough to give him an educated guess. Can you look for a book at a store, or do you have to only go to a library? Who knows, maybe he thought the scenario was affecting the cab view, you just don't know. Instead of asking "What does this have to do with Willamette Pass?", you could have "suggested" he ask his question in another section, or maybe you know where to look and you could give him a link. !!*ok*!!
