Americansteam...I'm the Easter egg. If I stood there I put me and the jeep nearby. He found me at the Mill Rift In 1989. I was also there on April 1 1974 on the opening day of Trout Season with my Grandfather. The other catch is I'm looking at you running your train..
So. I'M ALWAYS WATCHING ( 0 ) ( 0 )

That looks great. This may be a stupid question, how do you get your own consist on the BL?the route doesnt even appear for me on the freeroam tab Ive never installed RWtools - if that's the ticket

Fast and Easy is to use the QUICK DRIVES. Its really 6 of one and half of the other... for Free Roam you have to build your consists and drop them on the route to run. Free Roam does work on the route. At least, the last time I checked it did.

I did a naughty. I just had to add a few retro touches to the route. Now we have 93 miles of telegraph poles from Mill Rift to Croxton. The next thing I did was expand the track embankment on the Meadows to show there was once 4 track. It looks pretty cool, hope you like it.

Track embankment was added in quite a number of places that suffered from uneven ground and needed some interest.

And cheers right back at you! You do know that I drink with a Boddington's in each hand - right? And thank you for bringing the route to life each time you run it.

Sunday is the 4th of June. I could play the theme from film, but rather, I will play the scene that I remember every year at this time. Next week will be back to opera! To be clear its a moment of personal reflection that Roddy McDowall that he brillantly coveys here. And that I identify with.
What a difference a week makes. I sent out old number 242 into the ether last Friday. And I am STILL adding detail to route. You might not realize this but I wanted to do super detailing at the end, instead I kept adding consignees and killing myself with all this urban industrial work. But after Friday, I started doing some stuff I meant to do for all this time. From this weekend's post you can see I got some telegraph lines laid out. Yeah, I keep moving the year of this route further back at every opportunity. Truth is, it's what I really wanted to do. Now I can hack together enough parts to get that 50 years ago grit that I simply adore. In addition, to clean up some of the road bed, I have extesively laid out more of the 2 track embankments that you see on the Graham Line down on the Bergen County sections of the route. One of my beggest problems was smoothing terrain on a slope and on graded track that only this asset fixes. It will blend real nice - trust me.
I am hard stopping on June 15th. Please let there be no other needed track or signal updates! But each night I will ride the route and test and add things as I see em, or worse, remember something I forgot. You will never know how bad I wanted to put Patterson, NJ in. I just let it go, no more extensions. But here we are at long last. So many of you following the route progress from the beginning, having gotten married, had children and sent them off to college are, happily, still here in your dotage and on pension. Has it really been that long, seems like it.
And in other news we are STILL waiting for the U34CH NJDOT, which has been in QC for six months at Dovetail. Maybe they are waiting for me? Who knows. And in other other news we have Mainlines rigoroulsy banging cars all over the route and putting it through its paces. And now we have Schnauzahpowahz filming and narrationg as he tours the mighty Bergen. Do check him out on YouTube he is fantastic. And the boxed set of "The Bergen Through the Years" is yours for just 4 easy payments of $9.99. Limted supplies, so call now! Yeah, in my dreams.
And remember without you, I wouldn't have put the time into this. What is art if no one sees it? Until next time...
