That Revere Smelting Plant cost 18 hours of work. It looks pretty convincing too, so when someone takes a shot of work like that, I get a big fat smile on my face and that encourages me to do more of the same!
*!!thnx!!*

I am sure it costed much more to build the real plant. !*roll-laugh*!

Buzz' screenshot vey nice. That water looks beautiful... !!howdy!!

I was browsing around you-tube this morning and found the videos on the U34CH being moved from its "home" on the NYGL I didn't catch the title at first, since I was helping with getting Buster (my Chihuahua-Jack Russell-Pekingese mix) his eye drops, but when I got back to watching, the C-424 was running down the street on the way to move the U34. I commented to my wife that, as the loco was passing the church, I thought the line would veer to the left and go over the bridge. Of course, if it was where I was thinking it was. Remember, I didn't see the title of the video. When the track did indeed veer and go through the woods and over the bridge, my wife asked if we had ever been there that I knew what was happening. Of course I've been to the Dundee Spur, many times, on the Bergen! She made me laugh when she said "Its nice to see nature follow a game." as kind of a joke about it, but the more I thought about it, she couldn't have been more correct. We may never have been the, and may never get there, but I know it all the same. *!!thnx!!*

Same thing happened to me taking my son to a Red Bulls Game. I am driving down New Jersey RT 21 and a start to see all these old brick buildings, I am driving South and see a church and water tower and then the Passaic River. Oh my gosh were in Garfield! That water tower is on the building I named Passaic Woolen.

We may never have been the, and may never get there, but I know it all the same.
When, I am building and capture something like the Dundee Spur - I am moved by how close it is. Moved as in resonates emotionally, because I know that (other than MMSS1) none of us have been there, but we have in this way. When you realize you have seen it before - on the route - its such a strange feeling.

I am so glad that you recognize that and then put you experience right here!
Thank YOU Joseph!

You were right minerman. I will have to move from western routes to east. I have been absent too long from this route.
BTW, I got the Revere place thanks to your Bergen map in Google Maps (where I subscribed a few years ago).
Buzz shots are amazing. !*brav*!

Jalsina - I make this stuff and am glad when it gets put to use: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1gEQfMvlUaFK01kBJu2BTkII8_Os&ll=41.14140473692571%2C-74.37626125000003&z=8

Really just stunning to see the pictures taken. You (Buzz) notice my river bank work along the Wailkill River - I would cast a line right there... might get a hit from a Pickerel.
Reading the reactions - I suppose I should post more detail shots - so you can see where to go. Need more eyeballs on the route and chatter to keep people subscribing!

Last up, I just got an email from Michael Stephan regarding the Covered Hopper and Potash Hopper Below. He just completed the numbers, so look for this addition for the Bergen Line Pack shortly!

I believe these are in 2048 resolution - so you can read all the interesting markings on the car. After they come out DO take pictures of them at work and post right here about what you are doing with them!

*UPDATE* Micheal is FAST!

One last post for today (its been a GREAT day here!)
I would like like to tie in what Joseph was talking about, why Jalsina should come back East, why I am so grateful for Michael Stephan and last tie in why I want a real Erie Lackawanna Route on Train Simulator.

Ok all you hoggers on the Bergen Line ... where is the picture below taken and what direction is the camera facing?
WhereIsThis.jpg

I hope my tie-in comment makes sense with the picture.

Good evening all and welcome to this weeks edition of the Wednesday Route Update and Report. The comments below are solely this opinion of this here route builder and is not a reflection of the opinions of the management here at Railworks America.

Did you know that in 1968, the Penn Central paid a New York Advertising agency $200,000 to design their logo? That would be $1,444,000.00 today. !*roll-laugh*!
Money.Well.Spent.

Its been quite a week so lets gets down to it.
Route Update Status for this Friday: Goldilocks Edition

[ ] This porridge is too hot
[ ] This porridge is too cold
[ ] This porridge is just right
[X] Three Bears ATE this weeks route update

Where we are with the route right now is Carboy Road with forests extended to the Eastern Edge of Otisville. From last week, I showed the work area and its still in process. We did not have full time this week on the route as I was away last weekend. Many thanks to Buzz for posting highly motivating shots of the route in Middletown. This has inspired Jalsina to come East and explore the wonders of the Bergen. I was having a great day at that point and then it got even better and release two EL Cylindrical hoppers that I worked on back in April. And then, we find out that the Super Secret Spy Squirrel project is really the GE U34CH and Pullman Standard Coach Project by Digital Train Model. HOLY COW! !*lho*!

All this excitement, I don't know what to do with myself. Suffice to say, I am so appreciative of all the work that is going on that relates to the Bergen. Let's hope that I can get my pace up - so I can deliver Otisville before the year ends. ( not so likely). But we will try, then try harder and if that's not enough, hammer and tongs!
That's all I got, Oh by the way ... DTM has put out images of the Pullman Standard Coach on their Facebook Page. So here is a detail shot and a context shot for you. DTM has captured the Pullman Standard Coach ... its has the 1970 feel to it -- don't you think?
