Unfortunately, from what I hear, anyone outside of the US is unable to purchase most of the routes I've used assets from. I will be releasing it, but I'm not sure how well that will work for our trans-Atlantic friends.

The only route that I ever hear anyone talk about they can't get is Marias Pass. Is there something else?

I have Marias Pass, bought it on first day off release plus I have another 23 routes from the USA and Canada. I'm hoping I should have enough routes for the assets required. If there are any milk bottles lurking about I'll get my Winchester out and do some target practice. lol

I believe I'm using:

Sherman Hill
Promontory
Cheyenne 1869
Clear Creek
Project Platform
Marias Pass

and whatever the route originally required? (although 99% of the original assets are gone).

There are a few assets Mike made for me as well that I will package up and include.

I'm also planning on doing a livestream of the route sometime soon as well.

Like I said Marias Pass is the only one that's restricted.

Project Platform was a limited time charity add-on that is not available anymore. There are a few websites that have it for download, but I would advise against those. If you have the London Transport Heritage Collection, then you might be able to RW_Tools it into working.

Is it possible to get around it with a VPN? I don't know how they know where you're from so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. Most of the scenery assets I use are Marias Pass unfortunately.

I don't think there are a ton of assets I used from PP, mostly just a few water effects and maybe a couple other things? Nothing too game breaking though. I didn't realize PP was a limited time route.

Like I said Marias Pass is the only one restricted. There is nothing to prohibit you from including the PP assets.

Don't worry about using PP assets - most of us will probably have something suitable from DTG's standard fare to replace them with. In the original, all it was used for I think was the narrow gauge track - I've replaced this one mine with the RIchard Maxted track which, at 30 lb/yd, looks much better for a lightly laid line. The route looks beautiful, and I love the addition of the fallen boxcars by the waterfall and bridge. Looking forwards to your stream on it.

Lucky for me I have all of them, so hopefully no problems. Any idea when you will be releasing the route? I have been messing around with the old route also but with none of the results you have made, may be due to me being in the UK and not knowing the countryside like you guys do, I don't do bad on the home front but I really like steam era railroading in the USA.

I don't really have an idea of when I'll be releasing the route, I've just been working on it here & there. When I get the main bit of track looking acceptable I might release that as a WIP route, maybe people playing it can give me some critiquing to improve certain parts of the scenery.

I've never had much interest in European railroads, or even a lot of American stuff... The super-steam era locomotives don't do anything for me, and yes I know it's sacrilege to be an American railfan and not like the only US steam locomotives ever built (Big Boy, Challenger, and Daylight).

I really like that sense of adventure you get with the 19th century stuff, taming the west. Struggling up the Sierras in the snow, winding your way through canyons of beautiful rock formations, over roaring rapids on rickety, hastily constructed track, rolling through giant pine forests in intricately painted cars headed by a bright shining locomotive. I don't think you can find any other railroads like what we have here in the west...
