Working on the Mojave sub between Valley Junction and Hinkley. This is about halfway between those 2 points at what I assume is a dairy farm from the appearance of barns and a couple of dozen large center-pivot irrigation fields for growing grass. Very early shots here, just the South side of the tracks for about a mile is what's in place so far.

Looking good. What tracks are you using?

95% is ScaleRail and that's a conservative estimate. The rest is one type of track from Steven's Pass with cement crossties that are somewhat brighter than ScaleRail cement crossties.

Agree with that!

But I think we'd better just doze off for a while and see what Tomcat has done while we rested. !*brav*!

Thanks all!

Haven't done a heck of a lot the past few days but I did manage to get in some time around Summit for some touch ups. Not finished here yet but it's in enough of a presentable state for some screenshots. Moving East to West.

Also did a few touch ups at the start of the U.P.'s Canyon siding which extends from this point to about 2/3rds of the way through Sullivan's Curve.

Great work. From the look at Summit, the very first (and long ago) version of Train Simulator got this particular stretch of track right on the money.
Looking forward to running this sharpened up re-make. Thanks for your work. !!*ok*!!

Canyon is the first siding on the UP side south of the Silverwood Connector?

Thank you dejoh. If you are talking about Rail Simulator or the first Railworks then yep, it was pretty accurate from what I remember in this area. My version includes the 3rd main which eliminated the short siding on the North side directly opposite the short siding on the South side you see in the screenshot above. Only other change I made in this area, not to mention almost the entire length of the route, was to not put palm trees down everywhere.

You are correct. There is the Hiland siding on U.P.'s summit then heading South on single track you come to the Silverwood Connector and continue on till you cross over Route 138 (Abiel Barron Memorial Highway - which in the original Cajon was placed in a very odd location) and then shortly reach the Canyon siding.

Just East of Summit, Summit Valley Road swings in from the South and parallels the tracks as we roll past the end (or beginning, depending on your point of view) of the Martinez siding, which also marks the Eastern end of triple track, and continue on through the crossovers at Lugo.
