@Minerman146 - Well, I'd say you nailed Mahwah pretty well. Funny you should ask about the car I was driving! My daily driver at the time was a 2004 Dodge RAM HEMI pickup. Not exactly the kind of vehicle that's useful for almost 600 miles of weekly commuting. I looked around and found this:

OlFlame.jpg

A 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible (Cabrio) with FLAMES! It was a 5-speed manual and I love driving a manual transmission. I had a TON of fun driving that car! It reminded me of the customized Mercury coupes of the 1950s and 1960s, when I was growing up. The driver you see is a friend of mine driving the car in a local town's Balloon Festival Parade.
Keep up the great work; you have a keen eye for detail and it shows in your work. I look forward to future enhancements to the Bergen Line.
Best, !*cheers*!
Marc !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

@ Fraserm - I really appreciate your comment - and heck I love good memories too. So, I will get the parking area and foliage for your apartment building and put in a VW Golf in dark blue to represent the PT Cruiser (Cool retro car by the way). Look for this on Friday and its just for you. I only get to build this thing once and if I can make you a part of it by layin on the detail, I am gonna do it!

@Minerman146 - That's AWESOME! I'll be looking for it! Thank you very much. I always parked it directly in front of the building opposite where I placed the arrow.
Best,
Marc

Minerman, you are making the rest of us route builders look bad with that kind of detailed scenery *!!wink!!*

I promised a rework and that is what you get! The Minermen are proud to present the swimming pool at the Starview Apartments in Mahwah NJ. Also, your Blue Car is parked at the end! Fraserm got him self a nice pool too!

If anyone read my previous comment and see this reworked area on Friday - you can see the clear difference between Phase I and Phase IV work.

Had a very productive weekend - I am now putting in the scenery around Croxton West End Yard.
The picture below shows Harmon Cove and the over pass for the Meadowlands Parkway.

New Release and its a bittersweet one too. I have made my decision on what track alignment I will use. Rest assured, the ghost of the Erie Lackawanna will still show itself from time to time.

Good News: The swimming pool at the Starview Apartments in Mahwah, NJ is now open! **!!bow!!**

We are cranking along in Secaucus at the West Croxton yard. Taking a break we ran an NJT GP40 at notch 8 through the curves after Secaucus Junction
As we don't skimp on the full NJT experience; the super elevation on these tight curves really stand out.

Seriously! It's just like being back there. The attention to detail is awe-inspiring.
Thanks for taking the interest in my ramblings. Now I can take another freight down the line and see the updates you've made to the rest of the line.
*!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!*
Best, !*cheers*!
