Unless I just come up with something absolutely revolutionary, it's as done as it's going to get.

Well, the first beta test didn't go nearly as well as I had hoped, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I made a few tweaks, then did another capability test. Mind you this NOT what one of these can do on the prototype - I just wanted to see if it would work at all.

!*brav*! nice one!!! but.. Am I needing new glasses? or aren't there windows/doors (and visible cab) yet? Will this slug be a sort of stealth livery? !*roll-laugh*! Just kidding... good job!

I am not sure what you mean by "Drag"? The units are all running. There is no difference in the control or simulation blueprints between them. They are all powered under MU - hear the traction motor whine as each unit passes? Also, the unit that is shown in the video is not the lead unit - the "driver" unit is on the other end. They stop and start as a single unit, with no bunching of couplers, which is what I was going for, and what I am happy with. In reality, as was said, this kind of test would never happen. These are low speed units, hooked to a powered mother unit, and it would be very rare indeed to see more than one at a time.

But can't you have 2 mother-slug sets at once? I've seen videos of that before.

I am assuming you can configure this any way you like with your mother locomotives. Control wise, this has the same simulation and control settings as the F-7B locomotive, so it should work with any other locomotive. The problems that happened in Beta testing with GP9 and F7 incompatibility seemed to have stemmed from incorrect coupler pivots.

From my experience, as you can see from the vid, you can control each one individually from outside like a radio-remote loco (it has a basic cabview, but no cab), but this is not realistic. Also, you can set it up as a lone unit or attached unit, and as soon as the powered loco couples to it or starts up, the slug starts up too. The unit does have lights, but you can only turn them on if the slug is attached to a mother (light setting 2 or 3).

BTW, as far as I know, most of these that are still in service are permanently attached to GP40's.
