honestly I HATE the way dynamic numbering looks. i can do it no problem but i think it looks out of place. i"d rather just paint the numbers on the textures. but if its going to bother people then maybe i'll just do it. let me know what you guys think of just painting it on the texture like this:

@thecanadianrail: thanks about the nose it was a tad bit too high. since fixed it and the windows are less squished.

Question, do you think you might be doing any more freeware in the future, or is that just out of the question and more likely to not happen?

maybe down the road. I was thinking of a trial set of this pack in which i just give the simple shell of the models, with minimal clutter items partially texture, with no animations and no extra functions, default cab, default sounds. wheels still rotate and trucks move correctly. and those who like it can buy the upgrade. not sure yet. you express such concern about freeware and payware with every post that everyone does when it comes to new material. I appreciate your concern as it is a lot of content that you have to pay for RW. theres ton of free stuff out there and no one is forcing anyone to buy payware products. its like buying a movie. if the movie gets good reviews you buy it and watch it. its always there in your shelf when you want to watch it again. This is the same. you buy anyone's locos/routes/scenarios its yours and its always available for you when you want to run it and enjoy it. Maybe when you get old enough you will understand this better and be able to make these decisions. and you want to see something in the game for free...just make it. ask around people will help.

I am not sure yet. It takes about a week to skin a unit. currently skinning BNSF flags on the M unit. then I still have SP unit to do. Then I have 2 cabs this time which is going to take time as well. once i finish all model work then i can work on the paperwork side. I will include the fixes to the dash8 on that list.

Would love to see you update the freeware version of the Dash 8 as well. It's one of my favorite engines since it can pull very well and also makes a great backup engine for extra pulling power to a consist.

When I get some money in I plan to get the payware package from you.

I think the colors look good, Ian. I see a lot of these out here in So Cal, they all look about as faded. Go down along the Alameda Corridore, out to the yards at Vernon, on sidings everywhere.

I saw a power move last week, taking about 12 diesels down to the LA Harbor from LAX. Musta been 6 of these, 4 regular BNSF's and 2 BNSF Yellow Bonnets. Don't see too many of those around anymore. Wish I had a camera (my cell phone sux)

Thanks for the compliments! still have to do the rear and fill in the nooks and crannies. Then i'll place it on the rails and give it a spin. this model top out a lil higher at 20,900 polys. but all care was taken to keep it clean and it should run smooth just like the gp60. I havent tested it for stutterign yet but going on faith that it wont either. fingers crossed!

SO this pack will be the last loco set i do for a while. I think I"m ready to venture back into route building. after its release I am going to finish off the section of my seattle route and get it finished. the BNSF gp60m will look great on the roster there. I do want to do the sd60 series real bad; an just cover all 4 model types, sd60, sd60mac, sd60F, and sd60i. But that will be down the road.

Just got the gp60M running nearly perfectly. it has flashing ditch lights, marker lights, stairlights, just needs the cabs now. I'd like to alter some of the physics because its way too easy to pull a 50 car grain train with. But its ready to run with a fleet so i will put in 4 more unit numbers with some graffiti decals on a couple units for some variety. I added the marker lights after these videos.

enjoy the screenies
