Quick comment. There doesn't seem to be any route markers.

Silly question: what do route markers provide for the user experience and what is the best way to add them?
I followed the route building guide posted by Warwick Rail on Steam but I don't recall seeing steps to create route markers.

I agree.

Route Markers - Destination Markers - Siding markers etc are needed to create scenarios otherwise you have nowhere to tell the Engineer/train to go. This is also true for AI trains. You have a lot of Markers at North Fond du Lac (and you may need more) but only a few at Oshkosh where you will definitely need more (many more). Markers can be inserted into scenarios for specific tasks e.g. Drop off point for one specific scenario only but where many scenarios will start from go via or end at the markers need to be in the base route.
I suggest that you put in markers at Oshkosh and then we (the community) can create some scenarios and that's the best way of finding out what else you need.
Mike, well done.

Thank you John for the explanation. I can definitely put more siding and destination markers on the route.

OK here is a tutorial but it about put me to sleep with all the trivial details you don't need. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q205VhTC1P4

If you don't feel the need to learn all of this stuff about RWTools and a zillion other things.................I made up the two files you need. Since you used the Clinchfield for your route template put these two folders in the Assets\DTG\Clinchfield\RouteMarkers folder. I did just the first one which is the Route Origin address. All you need to do is fly around the route note the latitude and longitude of everywhere you want a route marker then go into the dcsv file and enter the addresses and names for each location. BTW you can also do this using Google Earth which knows the lat long of where you are at to do the same thing of taking down the location. This will all show up in the right fly out and you can add stuff anytime you want.
Holler if you have any questions.

Thank you Buzz for pointing me in the right direction. I modified the dcsv file with the markers I have on my Google Earth map:
https://earth.google.com/earth/d/176hf846TV8Hsz_8qX3Y9_u5Njkh17oYw?usp=sharing

I uploaded an update about 10 minutes ago. Let me know whether or not you see the route markers now.

I also added additional destination and siding markers in Oshkosh. The North Fond du Lac yards are unfortunately still unclassified because I don't know for sure how they were named or used. Does it make more sense to create siding markers in the yards, even if incorrect, or just leave them empty to allow scenario creators to name them however they want?

Just ran this with some WM and ICRR steam. Nice dense scenery, well done, lots of road crossings, a lot of diagonal crossings that had to be a bit difficult. Nicely done. !!*ok*!!

I just unsubscribed and then re-subscribed 9:30 ET and it did not have the route markers. *!sad!*

You cannot provide routemarkes with the workshop as these are assets.
In my opinion only two routemarkers would be necessary : Oshkosh and Fond du Lac.
Please do not mix route markers with track markers [siding, destination, platform].

Thank you sir! Steam ran quite a bit on this route, although I am not sure how much WM or ICRR made it up this way. *!lol!*
The last steam run I know of was the MILW 261 (4-8-4 Northern) in 1993. Here's a video I found from the special occasion:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-koMkfAD20 (3:12 to the end of the video are areas included on the Soo Line portion of the TSC route)
