I have set the bridge into place. The deck is a little bit taller than what I originally had. But I suspect that is probably where I should have done the first one anyway.

Currently adding the expansion decks to the roadway abutments. Then will correct the landscape elevations, exit ramps, add some detail,.. street lamps etc.

And agree with you John. This is not a close up bridge. Its only going to be really seen if they go into the adjacent work yard on the other side of i29 and from the rail ines on the far side of the river will see the bridge. So no,.. it does not need to be in great detail. My gripe was that anyone from the area would know this bridge and the unique shape it has. Had I tried to sneak in a regular loft bridge,.. I'm sure I would have caught some grief over it not being there.

Now thanks to you,.. there it is. In about 1 or 2 hours I should have enough done to where I can take some screen shots.

I notice in your pics that you are not seeing the tracks. If I remember correctly,.. 99%of the tracks I am using are from the scale rail pack There are some special sections in yards and what not that I am using some of the Tram Trax pieces. So if you dont have it yet,. grab the scale rail, scale road packs. I dont have the installs to look where I got them from,.. but I remember they were free. Pretty sure I got it from the http://www.3dtrains.com/ site. They have a high res payware version,.. and a low res free version. I am using the free stuff. I am a bit curious to how much better the high res version is.

Thanks Jim for the kudos, it was fun to build and gave me a bit more confidence in modeling, thanks for the opportunity and I hope we have more together.

I installed the route as recommended, both ways, and still not track. As you can see from my image of the editor, I have the proper Scale Rail assets, well I assume so anyway.

So, I am not so sure what I am doing wrong, just over-looking something I assume.

I got the trackage to show Jim, excellent. It was GreatNortherner's GNRy RailNetwork folder, must have been something I installed wrong in it. I looked in the Tracks.bin file to find most of the track is either GNer's or Donner Pass. Nice track work my friend.

See,.. thats exactly why I need help from you guys. I know I have scale rail installed,.. and I just assumed that he GNRy tracks were from scale rail. They look just like the pictures they show from 3Dtrains. !*don-know!*

Just checking in. 892 mi to go,. need to be in Pittsburgh by Sunday. Delivering some skidded coils Monday morning. Hoping they get them off early enough to make my next delivery. Second half of my load is 2 smaller steel plates that are going 228 mi more up to Lancaster, Ny. Gotta roll!

Ok, today I was going through the files for this route and came up with some answers to what I needed to make it work to a point, and that point being, still missing assets. The base RouteProperties file shows Donner Pass as the main template. I also looked at the list of BlueprintSetPreloads and found a lot of the assets are included in the North Eastern PA Division route available here at RWA: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/download-library/route-collection?view=document&id=21:nerw-north-eastern-pa-div&catid=20:route-collection . Also, as mentioned before, the track files are mostly from GreatNortherner's GNRy Package, 3DTrains' freeware Scale Rail Package, and the payware Donner Pass addon. There are other payware assets that may no longer be available like Portland Terminal, so it is possible not all assets can be had. I am preparing a list from the BlueprintSetPreloads in the RouteProperties file to help anyone needing the help.

I was hoping this could help some others here to add the assets and then enjoy the route. I am certain there is a lot more assets that need to be added, but at this time, my skills leave me at a loss. I hope others can add there skills to help find these assets. The route as is, is based in the local Kansas City area, which has a fairly large amount of tracks and several larger class railroads and also some smaller class railroads serving the area.

Just an update.

Jim is on the road a lot, so he gave me permission to handle some of the admin duties for the route development. We want to move the development away from the RWA forums to take the strain off Bob. Many updates and additions would be quite a load for him in respect to his situation. So, we are asking anyone who may have any skills to contact myself on joining the KCtoStL Development Team. We are looking for those skilled creators who can actually put a few hours in on the project, so if you don't have the time to contribute don't join the team, its just a respect thing in regards to keeping things moving. We are looking for quality over quantity or speed of assets creations as quality is our goal in the development of the route. We have decided to create a Discord Server to handle the communications for the team, but we will keep this thread alive to allow folks here at RWA to know what is our progress.

Oh, btw, we are looking for someone who has skills in using RW_Tools to work through the asset associations of the route as this maybe a stumbling block atm.

Thanks to all those who join the team in advance.

John,
Maybe most of the creative types are already up to their ears in projects so not willing to take up something additional at the drop of a hat.

No track is showing up for me and I have all of the previously listed suggestions for track.
I am only seeing floating bits of bridge track here and there.

Main track is GN tracks - http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =22:models

Using tram trax as well,. http://golden-age-rails.com/rwscenry.html#tracks

Bridge track is primarily - Scale Rail - (SR W1 - Open Deck) https://www.3dtrains.com/products/rw/scalerail.shtml

What bridge are you using for the two-level UP crossing just west of Santa Fe Jct?

Also, the industry you've built just north of the West bank of said bridge should be lumber, not pipe. There is also what seems to be a reclaimed oil or lube oil facility right across the industry lead from said lumber company.

Not critiquing as much as providing some input from my experiences down there. When I was going through engineer school at Overland Park, all my spare time was spent eating BBQ and exploring the railroads of the area.

Of note, too, is the steel company almost right in the middle of the mess of Santa Fe jct, and the Lumber/Building Supplies place across 25th St.
They were super tolerant of railfans and let a group of them go hang out and watch trains all day.

I also got the track to work.

The 2 level rail bridge crossing is a combination of bridges. NRD loft and support pieces. Then modified the Trestle bridge,. making one larger and the other smaller and stacking them to make it look similar to the real thing. Best I could do with the assets I have. If you need to know which specific trestle I used,.. let me know and I will get back to you on that. I do not know right now off the top of my head.

As for the industries,.. sorry,.. while I do try to observe which actual industry is there in Google Earth. More often than not,.. while out here on the road in my truck I am on wifi hotspot from my phone. I have Verizon unlimited who unfortunately castrate bandwidth after 15 gb down to 60 kb/s. Google Earth often fails to even load,.. or I simply lose patience and just rely on what I can see in the overlay images which are not always very clear or defined. So there will be discrepancies as to which assets are used at various industries. All I can ask is to overlook that for now.

As of this writing,.. I am just trying to get the majority of the rails and industry laid out. I have an insane task still ahead of me. I may or may not go back and check for consistency within the proper industries. But for now,.. it is what it is. You are more than welcome to edit your version to how ever you see fit.

Glad you got the track to work. The route would be pretty blah with out seeing the rails.
