So RMR got its first pair of used ES44AC's today from the paintshop, the pair are ex UP ES44's. originally on lease from GE and RMR picked them up for a good deal.

Well the rest of management and I thought it was perfect until we went and looked at the other side....seems the guys doing this side used a mirror when painting? Does anybody know how I could fix this decal problem? this is the SH ES44AC.

So here we see a pair of MP15AC's moving a string of slag cars to the slag pit dump track. there is a spacer car (just a flatcar) between the locomotives and the slag cars.

So now you have seen two screenshots of the newest industry on the RMR, a steel mill. its not a very big one but its big enough that its got its own loco's. The plant owns a pair of MP15AC's, a NW2, and a matching slug for the NW2. Now I have a place for the iron ore to go that is mined along the railroad!

Moving some Quench cars around the yard, the steel mill uses the cars to refill the tanks for quenching the steel at the air blast furnace area and for quickly quenching the hot slag as the slag is also used as ballast in the surrounding area, they also sell ballast to BNSF and CN for use around the area. CN and BNSF choose this because it is a steady supply of ballast. after the slag hardens the mill sends out a D9 cat with a ripper to rip it up for the loader to load into dump trucks to be run to a quarry to be crushed.

Still would like to see this finished and released, would you consider doing a version of it in the 30's. I could build you some more vehicles to go with it. In fact I plan on updating my old models with brand new full 3d models. Such as a 1931 Ford Model A that will be perfect when it's finished.
