Hurst, This work is breath taking. It looks like ... well, like is does! The industrial work, the streets and highways ... precise, clean and dead on.
I would partner with you!

Thank you. Your New York route looks fantastic.

I started this route to be just for myself. It was not my intention to build it to share with the community because I figured with the amount of assets I would be using,.. only the die hards would have or be able to get everything needed. But as stated.,. one thing lead to another and here we are.

I know I cant create an 'Authentic' route with custom assets and models all by my self. I lack the skills required. So my goal was to attempt to recreate the look and feel of the areas as best I could,.. carefully choosing buildings and assets that were close in style and age.

Now that word is getting out. I have gotten some interest. Railwanderer has taken on the liberty of custom creating a model of the Bond Bridge that spans the Missouri river on I29. I couldnt be more ecstatic! A custom asset model just for this route!!

Now that word is getting around I dont want to let anyone down and will really try to pay attention to as much detail as I can.

I have a partial fix for the PonTrack.bin issue. I've managed to get it removed from the track rules. But do not know how to get it removed from some of the roads and lofts. I have RWTools,.. my problem is that I do not know exactly how to go about using it to do everything it can do. So any help in that dept would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get PonTrack completely out of this route so no one has any problems with this route.

Thanks,..

Hurst,

This is me right here:

I admire your work and its superior to what I have done. That's as high as I can go in the compliment department. Your work is relaxed, natural and un-forced. The guys here, myself included, appreciate the effort that goes into a work like this.

You present to us a place we might never get to see in real life presented vividly in 3 dimensions.

I have uploaded a small update for the route.

Fixed some terrain glitches.
Added some more track.
Detained a few areas.
Removed PonTrack fom the track ruleset.

So hopefully it gets posted soon.

Question?

Which XML file do I open to edit out Pontrack from the lofts and roads? I dont see it,.. no can I find it. But then,.. I dont know where to look.

I got Pontrack out of the track rule set by deleting Pontrack from the system. Then used a batch file to delete the blueprints and made railworks recreate them. I could not find pontrack listed in any of the XML files I opened. But again,.. I do not know where I should be looking??

Thanks.

XML files are created by the BP Editor and the Serz.exe app. Serz.exe is actually a bi-polar app it turns .bin files into .xml and vice versa, very versatile. I would have to think the files with the track you are looking for are in the Track.bin file in the Networks folder, not the ones in the Track Tile folder. Just a guess on my part as I see the track rule reference to the track rule within this file.

BTW, since I placed this in the wrong thread, as it was very much confusing, here is something I am working on for the route. Its still going through the mill, so lots to do yet.

You can probably use RW-Tools to find all assets required by your route.

Looks fantastic to me,.. and to have a custom asset like this for the route has me very excited. I cant wait to set it into place.

And agree on the threads. I wish the 2 were just merged,. instead of moving the first and now having 2 different threads on the same subject.

Great work sir!

I was playing around with RWTools earlier and I did get it to list them,.. but the way it showed them,.. it did not exactly explain what they were. Or who they came from.

Fortunately,.. I do still have all of the installs for everything. I do not have them out here on my laptop. They are at home on my PC. So I am hoping the PDF and Text files that were included with them will help me explain where to get them.

I was thinking more of your problem of finding references to P0NTrack.bin.

A Picture is worth a thousand words, so I will let it speak for my update on the bridge.

Getting a lot of help. So I am sure we will get to the bottom of it and finally get it resolved.

And yes,.. look at that bridge people!! Mr Railwanderer made a custom asset just for my route!! Cant wait to set that into place and finally finish working in that area. **!!bow!!**

I approached Railwanderer with a new idea for a new project. The Union Station in Kansas City. This may or may not happen as we both agree,.. that will require an extensive commitment and effort to complete.

He chuckled and said he would get back to me on that. LOL

An update on the Bond Bridge in KC. This is a test bridge, but I think it looks good so far. I had to go back into it after I realized it wasn't going to be an up close and personal friend of the Locomotive cab and reduce the amount of polygons which also helped to make the texturing a bit easier. The third image shows the distance t which the bridge appears, 1500 meters. I figured it would need to be seen from that distance for the effect. Don't mind the terrible shape my instance of this route is as I haven't figured out all the assets I need yet. Now I just have to wait on Hurst as to what else needs to be added to the bridge to make it work with the rest of the scenery. Comments always welcome as long as they are constructive.

A great thank you to Railwanderer!!

I have set the bridge into place. The deck is a little bit taller than what I originally had. But I suspect that is probably where I should have done the first one anyway.

Currently adding the expansion decks to the roadway abutments. Then will correct the landscape elevations, exit ramps, add some detail,.. street lamps etc.

And agree with you John. This is not a close up bridge. Its only going to be really seen if they go into the adjacent work yard on the other side of i29 and from the rail ines on the far side of the river will see the bridge. So no,.. it does not need to be in great detail. My gripe was that anyone from the area would know this bridge and the unique shape it has. Had I tried to sneak in a regular loft bridge,.. I'm sure I would have caught some grief over it not being there.

Now thanks to you,.. there it is. In about 1 or 2 hours I should have enough done to where I can take some screen shots.

I notice in your pics that you are not seeing the tracks. If I remember correctly,.. 99%of the tracks I am using are from the scale rail pack There are some special sections in yards and what not that I am using some of the Tram Trax pieces. So if you dont have it yet,. grab the scale rail, scale road packs. I dont have the installs to look where I got them from,.. but I remember they were free. Pretty sure I got it from the http://www.3dtrains.com/ site. They have a high res payware version,.. and a low res free version. I am using the free stuff. I am a bit curious to how much better the high res version is.
