Hello everybody! !!howdy!!
I'm back to working on the RS-3 and I've just got some work done on the trucks.

There's a problem though, I think I made the springs to highly detailed because the tri count is 29,540 for just one truck. **!!bang!!** But, we can still appreciate how nice they look on the engine itself. !*drool*!

Just make cylinders with a spring texture.
Frankly, who is gonna look?

No. I'm not gonna crouch in the dirt looking at springs.

I'm really doubting that the detail of the springs would really have much of an effect on RW, it should probably at least run alright.

Here's yet another RS-3m oddity
ALCo RS-3m (No Short Hood) Render #1.jpg
Yes,it's based of an actual engine. And here it is, Conrail RS-3m #9950
CR9950JVC.JPG
I found this while looking at other RS-3m's along with engines with GP-9 long hoods.

Is anybody interested in this being made and CR #9950 finished?

Yes, I would love em both. What would you do for the GP9 hooded one? Just take the cab and create a new body? Or take and RSC GP9 and chop off the things you don't need and put RS3 stuff there? Anyway, I would still like it !!*ok*!! I like 9950 too *!greengrin!*

I would just model the GP-9 hood and place it on the RS-3 frame. And also make a new cab interior if it's needed.
