This is great. I have relatives that live in Redwood Valley and Ukiah. Used to visit them during summer when I was a kid and watch trains made up of second hand S.P. equipment tramping up and down along the Russian river. *!greengrin!*

Man would that be something to model. The line along the Russian river between Hopland and Ukiah etc.

I did look at many of the streets in Fort Bragg using Google Street View and satellite and from the videos of the track's angle out of town is just perfect. Every route I want coming in the future involves either Donner, Marias, and Horshoe Curve, I really need to get those !*hp*!

Correct. I was getting mixed up with NWP.

I have finished all of the track work. I made it to Willits it wasn't easy but I made it. Now the hard work starts filling in the scenery. I have 12 miles of scenery done but the route is 40 miles long. So this is going to take a while to get done.

Like I said I have finnished all the track laying. This route is going to take me along time to finnish. I was thinking that if I made a copy of this route and went in and took out all of the scenery from the copy route. And remove all of the payware routes from the clone route and just leave it clean with no scenery just the track. Then everyone could use this route without any problem. You would have to own or buy 3d trains scale rail it does not cost that much and they have it on sale now. I would package my Dem data and UKTS_FP that is in the core route. But everything else would be gone. I would package the cloan route on this site if they will allow me to. I have no problem anyone takeing this route and adding scenery to it. I would just like credit for what work that I have done. What does everybody think about that.

That's an interesting idea, might be quite a few folks that would jump on that offer.

Me, on the other hand, I'm just a driver. Not a designer (have no real desire at this time to learn, either) and I'd be more than willing to wait and see if the route does get finished up. It looks so darn fantastic now as it is. I'd even be willing to pay for a completed route that looks this good. Seriously. Just my **!!2cents!!**

Whatever you decide, dlee, it's been a treat watching this project grow so fast! In less than a month, wow. !!*ok*!!

Let's wait for Bob to weigh in on this but I think this could make a great project. Putting down scenery is the easy part as far as I'm concerned. I'm in the middle of a mission right now but what you have done is too good to let it die for sure.

This would be great because I am trying to learn how to build a route and to have a headsstart is an awesome opportunity

If this goes ahead we need to co-ordinate this so we don't have a lot of duplication of effort. Additionally Bob has a pretty nice pack of all freeware assets for the backbone of scenery so it would not have a hodgepodge of payware assets that a lot of people don't have.
