It could be that the loaded hoppers are too heavy in the sim. It might be worth checking the loaded weight in the hopper's bin file. I would think 110 tons per car loaded would be a good starting weight.

For the most part, I feel the majority of freight cars in the sim are too light. The U30 is a tricky beast to run because it loads so slowly.

Lucerne Valley Subdivision is mostly undecorated at this point so I decided to start at the very end and have a go at Mitsubishi Cement. I may have this plant completed in a couple of days and will post more of the complex at that time.

Thank you. Further work resulting from insomnia. A bit of distortion present from photomerging.

With the scope of this project it could be considered an entire game unto itself. Anxiously waiting.

Thanks all!

Several more industries to flesh out and then, finally, I'll be ready to get out an alpha. I won't call it a beta because there is still so much scenery to do, but if all the track work is done and the industries in place then there is no reason for me to hold on to it.

The next industry on my list to finish is Specialty Minerals, Inc. on the Lucerne Valley Sub., about 3.5 miles West of Mitsubishi Cement. Started last night and will probably finish tomorrow.

A bit more work at Specialty Minerals Inc., getting close to wrapping it up here and moving a couple miles West to Omya California Inc.

Night picture of the quarry very, very good!!! !!*ok*!!

Thank you.

Next up is Omya California Inc. Specialty Minerals Inc. is just visible in the distance at a distance of 2 1/4 miles to the East. I'll be working on Omya today and then I'm going to need a break before visiting every other industry to check that it's ready for prime time. To the West of Omya starts the scenery I hate the most, open, scattered housing just like Phelan. More later after I get this area filled in and night lighting in place.

Thanks for putting this sub in....looking really good.

Just curious; are you putting loader/unloaded objects at these industrial locations where appropriate? Not essential, just asking....

Thank you. This sub is turning out to be one of my favorite spots. Putting it in has turned out to be very enjoyable... well, at least the last several miles where all the action is. The first 2/3rds of the sub is going to test my fortitude but the last 3rd makes it worthwhile. There are loaders/unloaders at Mitsubishi, Specialty Minerals and Omya. To be precise, Mitsubishi has two cement loaders and a coal unloader. Specialty Minerals and Omya have bulk loaders and at this point I don't see where they would have unloaders as I am guessing that Mitusbishi may supply power to the other two since they have a fairly decent sized power plant and transmission lines run from Mitsubishi right past the others. I might very well be wrong, after all I'm just assuming from what I can see on Google Earth so if you have any concrete information (pun intended) on what they might receive I'm all ears.

When I look at the last 3rd of the sub I congratulate myself on the incredible foresight I had and when I think of the first 2/3rds I BLAME YOU! (just kidding... you were the one that convinced me to put the sub in and I thank you for that!)
