Someone said that this station didn't have lighting.
We fixed it. *!greengrin!*

So you are unperturbed by all the TSW pomp and circumstance?

Haven't played your route in a while, and it's best to have Steam deliver a completely new route folder?
I usually save all the .zip files from the intermediate storage, as in my experience, TS17 often corrupts files when unzipping them.

o OOOO oo,

Regarding updates - its me and its Steam. Some of my changes modify (add, subtract, move) objects only very slightly. I imagine that updater does not pick those up. On the other hand, there are time stamps to every single tile that's change so it should work. In my own personal experience on my test machine - ( I don't update every week - more like once a month) workshops fails to download about 10% of the time. Yesterday, I watched the extraction through the UI, in the past I got the changes, this time I didn't and rebooting didn't help. **Best Solution** Delete the contents of my route folder, leaving the folder intact, and restart TS. It works every time. As an aside - I actually lose subs when there is an issue with the load - many don't know to check with me or even the procedure. Usually about 4 or 5 right after an update - then over 2 weeks they appear to come back.

Train Sim World:
I am unphased by all the brouhaha - positive and negative. I am alarmed by all the confusion its causing with TS2017. Will TS be supported, updated or new content created. From my perspective - after three and half years of work - to have the game go belly-up and no one in the room to enjoy the Bergen, causes me some anxiety. I think the game is going to disappear before I can make scenarios for the still in progress NYD-BCL! !*hp*!
I conformed to the workshop rules on purpose, to allow for the possibility that it might get packaged as DLC. The point of that was to get more people to see the route, which is my primary desire.

We aint done - you haven't seen nuthin yet - if I have to continue development in a post-apocalypse TS2017 situation - it will be housed here on RWA.

Just look at this right here. Build from scratch to emulate the real-thing - Because:Workshop otherwise I would have become a darn developer, which looking back - I should have, to pull this Erie Lackawanna thing off!

Route Update Number 179
New York Division-Bergen Line 9.9.1.4: O&W Bridge

Additions: Detail Work RT207, O&W Bridge, more farms and foliage.

Fixes: Replace Missing Station Illumination at Ramsey RT17

Don't you worry Minerman! Although I've been pretty busy outside of the TS world lately, I'm still keeping up to date with everything going on with the Bergen. You will have plenty of screen shots of the west end coming in the next few days!

NSTrains! I always look forward to your latest images!

Here is a teaser for this weeks update. Long story short - I was advised by a subscriber that this station did NOT have lighting ... first the lights when in, then I broke out a can of "KitBash", kept at it for 6 hours and got this.

It was a nice break from Maxi-Trees, brush and rock cuts.

Had to do a double take on that screen shot! Great lighting effects! Guess I need to do more night time running, but its hard to do that with so much to see during the day.

Seeing these latest photos Minerman makes me wanna !*drool*!

I don't have my PC as of now, the main reason I haven't been active lately so hopefully once I get it back, I'll be sure to keep myself up to date and run the Bergen again!

Penn - We look forward to seeing you back on as soon as you can. Your machine has been out for the past few weeks!

There has been quite a bit of enthusiasm for this station upgrade, which was done on a whim. I will say that for almost 2 years , I was stumped on how to build it out of parts - last week it just 'came' to me. I did something similar with the Sloatsburg rest area on the New York State Thruway, but that was horizontal. Going vertical and putting levels in was really tricky to do. Unfortunately, my stock of assets does not include one as large or with the a similar face as at the original location. So, as the many other times I try to reproduce a real structure, I a capture as many elements of the real thing as I can to make up for the fact its just parts taken from different DLC to make a model.

This one came out really well, and was fun to do. I am looking forward to the reactions after I post it on Friday.

As you can see I left the FPS display up to show you what I'm getting, in my own free roam with nothing added but the consist you see pictured. I'm still having very little luck running any of the QDs due to the game crashing.

But I must say the scenery detail is outstanding! !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

NSTrains - perfect that you put up the fps counter - I see 17/18 and 15 (15 could be 4 for all we know as that is the lowest number displayed. Your numbers are only 1 or 2 under my laptop, but I am running in the QD. ( I always test in QD because that is max load). For me you are the perfect benchmark as you are right on the edge before it doesn't work. The only change, from last update to this, was previously noted with the trees in CH only. This should only impact CH not the whole route for you. But all QDS are diminished and I cut rolling stock by greater than half when I rebuilt the QD.

You may try to use a product call Razor Cortex (I test with it and without it) to gain a few FPS that may make the difference. This doesn't mean I'm going to stop working on the issue. It may help

On to your pictures ...
YEAH - you see it ! Your going to fall in love with this part of the route ... truuuuuust me!
!*salute*!

Route Progress Update:

We are in-line to release for early AM Friday, September 29th. The highlight of this release is the reworked station that you will definitely notice when you see it.
Out West in Hamptonburgh and Campbell Hall we have made very good progress with base scenery beyond the Wallkill River. In fact, we now have trees past interstate 84. Where the track lies, will be the Western end of the Bergen. Its sad to say it, but had to stop somewhere or go 30 more miles. When the Montgomery Branch goes in, operational, the route will make sense. To be clear, I trust everyone understands that we will have a legitimate point to point railroad for Norfolk Southern and post 1987 Conrail. One of the goals (there were so many! ) was full functionality. It should also be clear that we already have full commuter service via the BCL from Suffern to Hoboken. I am anticipating criticism, more likely disappointment, that I didn't go to Port Jervis. My explanation has been well documented here as to why.

We are moving forward. We will continue to dazzle you with amazing and vivid scenery. And we will enjoy ourselves through the process!

I think what you're doing makes perfect sense and should make everyone happy! Commuter guys have a station and freight guys have a yard that each can use as a starting or end destination. The extra 30miles just for a couple Metro-North commuter stations wouldn't make sense to me at least. What would make more sense than doing that, would be to model both the Main and Bergen line from Hoboken to Suffern.
