After you're finished with your Dash-9 works, would it be possible to repaint the P42DC into Phase III? Your work is outstanding! !!*ok*!!

I'd love to accommodate all the requests but there simply isn't enough free time plus the reality is I simply don't like certain railways. As you can see I'm a CN guy so priority #1 is a CN repaint or a correction of existing repaints to the right colour. Next is Canadian railways ( though I'm sorry but CP just doesn't get me excited). I have lately been interested in Norfolk Southern plus the ex Conrails as well as the Leased units like GATX. Ive had a lot of requests for BNSF and UP but again sorry, they don't excite me and its not like there is already a ton of stuff out there for those railways. I'm also getting to the point of looking to work on some rolling stock as well. I'm playing around with some Molten Sulfer Tankers (yes I know the tank cars are not correct but well have to I'm imagine they are :D ).

thecanadianrail wrote:Speaking of grey locos, you haven't happened to have done anything with the grey CN SD40-3's yet have you roinuj? I would get around to it myself but im kinda neck deep in trying to get all of my RMR repaints. I will if you haven't though, it just might take time.

It's still on my todo list. I haven't released the CN SD40s with snow shields because the Santa Fe DLC was discontinued by RSC and I just haven't got around to retool them to the default SD40s. But the grey GT is definitely on the list.

Dirty looks so much more realistic. Can't remember the last time I saw a clean or even a new one. Thanks so much for your hard work. Has anyone got dynamic smoke working on this model, I can't get it to work no how.

!*not-ok*! Sorry for asking, but you don't have to be rude.

Sorry, I was just trying to point out that the re-painters on here all have a list a mile long of requests. They are not paid. They do this because they enjoy doing it. If it becomes a job they will stop doing it and then where will you all that don't want to spend the time learning how to do it yourselves be? I have been around the community long enough to hear from folks who just stop because they get tired of what they perceive to be the constant 'i want this theme' or criticizing things because they aren't perfect. When you see someone put up something nice and then instead of eight compliments and thank yous you see eight "can I have this?" it just makes me a little uncomfortable. That's all.
Rant off.

I have to agree with Buzz. I know people are excited with getting their favorite schemes done but you have to remember it is a creative endeavor and the re-painters here do things because it interest them and gets the creative juices flowing. I personally don't mind the requests but in the end I will only do what interests me. That being said, I have come across some great ideas that sparked my interest that I normally would not have considered if it wasn't for the requests and links posted. eg. I saw a post about a NS Horsehead request that caught my interest. If I hadn't seen that request, I'd never have done the NS weathered sets.

I appreciate your work roinuj, and I love all the repaints. The only one I want is this one:

Thanks,

I think I'm going to work on the Ghosts and then maybe move onto some other projects. I don't really have any plans to do Santa Fe stuff right now so feel free to give it a go.

A quick peek at the Primer Scheme I've started. Its preliminary right now but I think it will end up with static numbers with prototypical weather.

Unfortunately I got a lovely BSOD this evening on my laptop which is the result of a trashed registry. We have a monster snow storm heading our way so tomorrow should be a snow day so I can try save files from the drive and do a recovery from my server backup. Hope it goes well.....because I hate full OS reinstalls. !*not-ok*!
