Dang, JP, those are fantastic! Wish I could help with the lights, but I'm just a driver. Maybe Marc over at 3D Trains could help. Jerry isn't around any more (SMM Digital) Not sure who else here can do lights. Isn't there something in the manual?

Not for 3D Crafter, only 3DS Max.

Wish I could afford 3DS Max though.

Actually I want to set it so one doesn't have to add the lights every time they place the buildings so the lights appear automatically on the buildings.

*sigh*

I still have this tutorial in draft. Its not too hard to do, and even easier if you build the children with the parent model. I can't promise anything right now as I am trying to get some SD7/9 and RCAP stuff done.

Some more progress on the Pillar Tower model.

I actually saw a picture of the real building off of the cover of the movie Freerunner.

I think it's the best skyscraper I've ever built, this is the topping on the cake.

The complete set so far, and I'm not done yet, more skyscrapers yet to come.

Unfortunately I won't be modeling a huge gorilla, and I wouldn't be able to model one anyways.

In the set there's also a skyscraper that's 110 stories high and another that's 100 stories high.

Going to go ahead and package these couple new skyscrapers up this week and will release them.

Although, I currently plan for these to be the last scenery items I model, since I'm now getting into building locomotives.

Starting on the buildings for Pack 2.

Here's the first of the new buildings I'm working on.

The building is a 37 story skyscraper with a 4 floor lobby section.

Some more progress on the building.

I'm building these in 3D Crafter Pro only without the help of sketchup, been learning a lot about 3D Crafter lately and now know how to shape out an advanced building in it.

Finally, this first new skyscraper is finished.

Here's what the real one would have looked like.

And here's the model of it in the sim.

More skyscrapers means more lights to put on. Wonder how they attach lights into those buildings then put it into the sims. I've seen a lot from rcap.

Don't know yet, I'd like to be able to do that but don't even know how to make a light work yet, neither can I find a tutorial on how to do it either.

Also, what skyscrapers did RCAP build?

Rcap didn't make any. They had only restaurants, gas station, walmart and cosco. The lights I was wondering how rcap they install them.
