What's the next project after the 2-8-0 Consolidation?

I would recommend some of the more famous locomotives that have not yet been built as reference material would likely be easier to come by, not to mention that with the inevitable success of your Consolidation, a popular locomotive would probably be a home run sales-wise . Maybe a Southern PS4 or an un-streamlined NYC J1a (or J3a) Hudson ;). I know there's plenty of diagrams available to buy on CD for the Hudson on the NYC Historical Society's website (http://nycshs.blogspot.com/search/label/books). However, there's a huge amount of free technical diagrams available for the PS4 at this site: http://southernmodeler.info/SRdiagrams.htm. Plus, one PS4 still exists in the Smithsonian museum, #1401, and I'm sure there's a few people on this forum that live in the area willing to take some reference photos from the real thing.
I agree though that the GN P-2 would also be a fantastic locomotive, especially with Marias Pass coming out. Its really up to you....

Those are excellent links, thank you! I've added them to my favourites. Having those drawings on CD would be great (the paper ones are nice to touch, but they do take up a lot of room).

Any of the later PRR locos would be good, as well as the UP FEF-3/4 4-8-4.

It may not be the most popular, but I'd like to see some more narrow gauge locos for the Durango and Silverton line. We allready have the route and the one loco there is for it is incomplete having been converted from msts. There should be plenty of drawings for K-28s, K36s as well as some of the older C-16-21s. I think there are still 3-4 K28s in active service as well as 6 K36s so getting sounds should be reasonably easy and I bet the railroads would be willing to get recordings while running if you approached them. If you don't mind spending some money for drawings I know there are several plans for 2.5" scale live steam models to be had.

I'd like to do narrow gauge too, but the problem there is that RSC haven't got their own NG route, which would make it impossible to create a "package". Maybe in the future I'll try my hand at doing a route.

It could be one to do after the GN P-2. I do like the look of the P-2 with it's tapered boiler.

I've just finished enabling rain on the cab windows (including the door glass and storm windows), which was almost the last thing to do. I'll start on an instruction scenario now.

I'm still waiting for Matt to send me the crew figures from the K4 (to save me the trouble of trying to make them myself .... modelling living things is not my forte). As soon as I have them in, the loco will be ready for beta testing.

I plan to make a streamlined J3 Hudson later, as of now I plan to make it payware.

The non streamlined Hudson on the other hand I might make it freeware, if I ever build it.
