Thank you all for the heart-warming comments! I only just started the cab two days ago, and have been out camping with my group, so haven't had any time to work on it any further. I will be today however!

lol. What's funny is that my name actually is really old when I used to play The Sims 2, thus simer4. It has just stuck since. Some pronounce the name like they are saying Simon. lol. I biked to the campground 15 kilometres (9.32 miles) from my house in 25 minutes. Took my Tour de France bike out for the first time in about 5 years. Don't quite fit it any more, but, what the hay, I rode it anyway. Anyway, I'm back, so it isn't going to be "simmering" any longer. *!lol!* Lots of progress to be done on the cab, and a few touch ups on the exterior.

I got a folder with all around shots of the exterior, a small folder of the interior of the C420 as well as an RS interior, and a huge folder of C420 cab shots as well as some truck shots. If you have any more pictures of the back panel in the cab with clear shots of the labels, then that would be great. Thanks!

Well, after being very busy, I am now back into modelling full swing. I present today, the finished front of the cab.

For some reason, a glossy texture in Blender using Yafaray makes a very noisy image. All the render settings are the same as the previous two renders.

Been a while since I last showed some progress, so here is some:

I have been mostly working on Poly reduction to save the performance, but I have added many new details, as you can see. Don't worry, more polygons will be reduced, and don't worry, I am going to finish this one, no matter how much I may hate it by the end. *!lol!*

Here's one more small update:

The inner workings behind the wiper.

Yes, don't worry, it still has to go through final optimization. The model currently has 150000 polygons including the interior with a bunch of switches and pipes. Without the interior, it is much less, for the interior model will only be needed in the cab view. So don't worry, that number will drop significantly once the two are separate, and the final optimization is done. The problem with sketchup is when you draw on another face, and extrude it, it creates a bunch more polys around the object extruded. Also, when you connect two faces together, but one is 2 inches, while the other is 4, a vertex will be added where the top of the 2 inch face meets the middle of 4 inch face. By creating groups, you can avoid both of these problems, much like creating two cubes in your favourite 3D application, and intersect the two, but don't merge them. That's still 12 polys per cube, 6 faces per cube, 2 polys per square, on each cube. The two are not one object.
